On December 20th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Lindsey Coffman (26) of St. Joseph alleging Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Prior). Bond was set at $5,000, with defendant given leave to post 10% cash.
On December 21st, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Randy Hillyard (63) of Bethany in Harrison County for DWI and Failure to Drive on Right Half of Roadway.
On December 23rd, Northwest MO Info reported that a phone scam targeted Cameron. An automated call claimed that unless people sent them money within 30 minutes, city utilities would be disconnected. Most cities send notices through the mail if someone is late on a water or gas bill.
On December 23rd, KQ2 reported that Cody Curry (31) was sentenced to 22 years in prison for 1st Degree Statutory Sodomy by Judge Patrick Robb after having been found guilty in Buchanan County in October.
Juanita Ross, 59, of Lenox, was arrested in the 300 block of east Illinois Street on December 23, 2019, following an investigation into a theft at Dollar General in Lenox. Ross was charged with fifth degree theft, possession of a controlled substance second offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Ross is being held at the Taylor County Jail on $2,300 cash bond pending and appearance before the Magistrate.
On December 23rd, the Missouri Secretary of State’s office issued a Cease and Desist order against The Stock Exchange Trading Company, LLC of Springfield after a Rhode Island resident had received a cold call from them. An agent, fraudulently claiming to be a registered agent from Texas, offered the Rhode Island resident $234,000 to buy their stock shares. Their website listed a false Springfield address and phone number. The company was not a registered broker-dealer or investment adviser. The Secretary of State’s office ordered the company to pay $28,000 in penalties and investigation costs.
On December 23rd, Livingston County Prosecutor Adam Warren filed charges against Jeremy Ramirez (34), a homeless man living in Chillicothe, alleging Tampering with a Motor Vehicle (Felony) and Resisting Arrest. Bond was set at $15,000, cash only, and supervision by Supervision Services.
On December 23rd, Worth County Prosecutor Janet Wake Larison filed charges against Payton Adwell alleging Speeding.
On December 23rd, Northwest Mo Info reported that the Maryville Fire Department responded to an ice rescue call at around 7:30 pm at an area pond. A victim had gone onto ice in the pond in an effort to rescue his dogs, who had fallen through the ice. The victim was able to get himself and the dogs to an island structure, and both he and the dogs were rescued. The victim was subsequently lifeflighted to an area hospital for treatment.
On December 24th, Worth County Prosecutor Janet Wake Larison filed charges against Herbert Parrott (23) of Diagonal alleging No Seat Belt.
On December 24th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Austin Hale (21) of Kansas City in Clinton County on charges of Speeding 124 miles per hour, Cutting In on Overtaken Vehicles, Failure to Drive on Right Half of Roadway, Vision Reducing Material on Vehicle, and No Seat Belt.
On December 24th, Gentry County Prosecutor Jessica Jones filed charges against Craig Burks (51) of King City alleging No Insurance.
On December 26th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Israel Cruz (30) of Rincon De Las Mitras (Mexico) alleging No Valid License.
On December 26th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Mancera Medina (42) of Apple Valley (MN) alleging No Valid License.
On December 26th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Jonathan Van Crowder (20) of Cainsville alleging No Insurance.
On December 26th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Daniel Totong (26) of East Patchogue (NY) alleging No Valid License.
On December 27th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Jerry Williams (30) of Brookshire (TX) alleging No Valid License.
Charges listed are mere allegations. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty it is to determine guilt or innocence. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
