In the first two games, Herndon only came in for a few seconds. Knox lost both games, falling to North Central (not to be confused with North Central Missouri College) 77-67 and Eureka 83-76 in overtime.
But they turned things around in the third game, winning over Central (IA) 81-72. Herndon showed improvement along with the rest of the team, getting five minutes and securing one board. Her best game was the Prairie Fire’s 92-50 win over Iowa Wesleyan, as she got six points, eight boards, one assist, and two steals in 13 minutes.
Knox avenged their second loss of the season in the next game, successfully invading Eureka and winning 79-71. In that game, they were down six after three quarters, only to get their best quarter of the year, outscoring them 31-17 behind 75% shooting. Herndon got two boards and one assist in three minutes.
The Prairie Fire then invaded Lawrence (WI) and came away with a hard-fought 67-55 win. Herndon had two boards in three minutes in that game.
