Courthouse News for December 4th, 2019

On November 25th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Alan Rickard (58) of Salina (KS) alleging Careless & Imprudent Driving (Accident).

On November 25th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Kathryn Parson (20) of DeKalb (IL) alleging Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Speeding.

On November 25th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Mykah Poage (20) of St. Joseph alleging Minor Visibly Intoxicated and Failure to Drive on Right Half of Roadway.

On November 26th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Jeffrey Gross (27) of Maryville alleging Assault and Resisting Arrest. Bond was set at $500, cash only.

On November 26th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Paulo Jamie de Oliveira (38) of Belton (MO) alleging No Valid License.

On November 26th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Jeremy McQuerrey (49) of Kearney (MO) alleging DWI, Failure to Drive on Right Half of Roadway, and Failure to Signal.

On November 26th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against David Smith (25) of Milwaukee (WI) alleging Sexual Trafficking of a Child (Felony). Bond was set at $150,000, cash only. Northwest Mo Info reported Wednesday that when Smith was stopped in Harrison County on November 7th, his passenger turned out to be a 17 year old juvenile from Wisconsin who had advertised at least 132 times for escort services and acts of prostitution. Smith had been stopped in Illinois in October under similar circumstances.

On November 26th, Gentry County Prosecutor Jessica Jones filed charges against Michael Hamilton (25) of Maysville alleging three counts Resisting Arrest (Felony), four counts Failure to Signal, Speeding (26+ over), and two counts Failure to Stop.

KMA reports that on November 26th, cops tried to stop Jacob Tuttle (41) of Omaha in Mills County (IA) for speeding 75 miles per hour in a 55 miles per hour zone. He attempted to elude officers and the pursuit reached speeds of as high as 100 miles per hour before he eventually crashed and was arrested. Tuttle is being charged with Theft, Resisting Arrest, Possession of Controlled Substance, Felon in Possession of Firearm, Interference with Official Acts, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Failure to Obey Traffic Control Device, Careless & Imprudent Driving, Speeding, and No Valid License. KMA says the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Omaha. He is being held on $50,000 bond.

On November 27th, Gentry County Prosecutor Jessica Jones filed charges against Joshua Veale (43) of King City alleging Hunting Deer with Bait.

On November 27th, Worth County Prosecutor Janet Wake Larison filed charges against C.S. Mattison (32) of Gansevoort (NY) alleging Speeding (20-25 mph over).

On November 27th, Worth County Prosecutor Janet Wake Larison filed charges against Teasha Henry (35) of Albany alleging Speeding (20-25 mph over).

On November 27th, Worth County Prosecutor Janet Wake Larison filed charges against Camaron Goble (19) of Cameron alleging Speeding and No Seat Belt.

On November 27th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Blythe Rails (34) of St. Joseph alleging Burglary (Felony), Stealing (Felony), and Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony).

On November 27th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Perry Summers (50) of St. Joseph alleging Burglary (Felony) and Stealing (Felony).

On November 27th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Rushard McCoy (39) of St. Joseph alleging Unlawful Possession of Firearm (Felony) and Stealing (Felony). Bond was set at $20,000, cash or surety.

On November 29th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Mandalyn Larson-Watkins (30) of Maryville alleging Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Peace Disturbance, and Resisting Arrest.

On November 29th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Kody Lull (26) of Maryville alleging Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Peace Disturbance.

On November 29th, at around 1:45 pm, two ambulances headed through Sheridan to a house west of town. At 2:25 pm, one of the ambulances returned with its sirens activated.

On November 29th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Logan Zimmerman (20) of Maryville alleging Domestic Assault (Felony), Resisting Arrest, Assault, and Minor Visibly Intoxicated. Bond was set at $5,000, with defendant given leave to post 10% cash or surety.

On November 30th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Joshua McCarthy (32) of St. Joseph in Nodaway County on a St. Joseph Warrant for Failure to Appear (Signal Violation). He was also ticketed for No Seat Belt and Speeding.

On November 30th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Martin Kemp (51) of Barnard in Nodaway County on charges of Failure to Drive on Right Half of Roadway, No Valid License, and DWI (Felony).

On November 30th, the Ringgold County Sheriff’s Department arrested Jennifer Baker (52) of Delphos on a charge of Driving While Suspended. Bond was set at $300 cash or surety.

On December 1st, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Joe Garcia (20) of Racine (WI) in Harrison County on a Buchanan County Warrant for Failure to Appear (Speeding).

On December 2nd, a vehicle driven by Joshua Pierson (19) of Osborn wrecked on Highway 36. Following the wreck, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Pierson on charges of Possession of Controlled Substance (Xanax), DWI (Drugs), Careless & Imprudent Driving (Accident), and Possession of Marijuana (Prior).

On December 2nd, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Jean Saf (70) of Lees Summit alleging No Insurance.

On December 2nd, Worth County Prosecutor Janet Wake Larison filed charges against Jacob Wimer (20) of Grant City alleging No Seat Belt.

On December 2nd, Worth County Prosecutor Janet Wake Larison filed charges against Daniel King (31) of Grant City alleging Failure to Register.

On December 2nd, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Chance Nowling (30) of Maryville alleging Assault (Felony) and Armed Criminal Action (Felony). Bond was set at $50,000, cash or corporate surety.

On December 2nd, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Martin Kemp (51) of Maryville alleging DWI (Felony), No Valid License, and Failure to Drive on Right Half of Roadway.

On December 3rd, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Arodi Barrios-Calderon (36) of Racine (WI) alleging No Valid License.

On December 3rd, KQ2 reports that a 14 year old boy was charged with Manslaughter and Armed Criminal Action in juvenile court in St. Joseph in conjunction with the shooting death of another teen on November 9th.

On December 3rd, Gentry County Prosecutor Jessica Jones filed charges against Travis Hunsucker (31) of Albany alleging Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Charges listed are mere allegations. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty it is to determine guilt or innocence. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
