Worth County fell to fourth in the Missouri Eight Man Football rankings despite its 56-0 win over South Holt Friday.
Rock Port had little trouble with Princeton Friday and Lockwood also won to hold down the second spot. Archie picked up an impressive win over Appleton City to pick up the third spot after being tied with Worth County the previous week.
Concordia was tied for fifth with Nodaway Valley. They will face another unbeaten, Northwest Hughesville. Nodaway Valley, coming off an impressive win over Albany, faces Stewartsville/Osborn this week. The Thunder could move up if anyone ahead of them falters as they sport a no-huddle offense with blinding speed and the ability to run or pass. Defensively, they are one of the best teams in the state at taking the ball away, forcing a lot of turnovers in their first two games.
North Shelby is seventh and will face St. Paul Lutheran. Appleton City will face Drexel. King City will face Albany, who will be looking to get back on track following their loss to Nodaway Valley. Norborne/Hardin Central will be facing Santa Fe.
Also receiving votes were Bishop LeBlond and Lincoln. LeBlond will travel to face Wellington-Napoleon while Lincoln, a newcomer to eight man football, won its first game.
Pattonsburg is not ranked yet despite winning its first two games, including a win over previously ranked Platte Valley. They face North Andrew Friday.
