On September 15th, Sullivan County Prosecutor Jane Elizabeth Dunn filed charges against James Bowe (67) of Humphreys (MO) alleging two counts Assault (1 Felony). Bond was set at $10,000, cash only. On September 18th, Dunn filed additional charges against Bowe alleging six counts Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (Felony), Unlawful Possession of Illegal Weapon (Felony), Possession of Weapon and Controlled Substance (Felony), and four counts Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony). Bond was set at $250,000, cash only. The Grundy County School District reported on its Facebook page that on September 17th, the school evacuated its elementary school, which is located in Humphreys, to the high school in Galt out of an abundance of precaution.
On September 16th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that at 5:15 am, a 64 year old woman from Smithville driving the wrong way on I-35 without headlights was killed nine miles north of Eagleville when she was struck by a 2022 Ford F-450.
On September 16th, Charles Turner (40) of Jamesport pleaded guilty in Daviess County Associate Circuit Court to charges of Driving While Revoked and Failure to Drive on Right Half of Roadway (Accident). He was fined $60.50 plus costs and sentenced to 10 days in jail by Judge Micha Lea Dixon.
On September 16th, Timothy Jackson (56) of Des Moines (IA) pleaded guilty in Daviess County Associate Circuit Court to charges of DWI and Careless & Imprudent Driving. He was sentenced to 10 days in jail and fined $80.50 plus costs by Judge Micha Lea Dixon.
On September 16th, Kyley Culbertson (25) of Trenton pleaded guilty in Daviess County Associate Circuit Court to a charge of DWI. They were sentenced to 10 days in jail by Judge Micha Lea Dixon.
On September 16th, Daviess County Prosecutor Andrea Beth Gibson filed charges against Zachary Brannen (39) of Coffey alleging Domestic Assault. Bond was denied.
On September 17th, Grundy County Prosecutor Kelly Wayne Puckett filed charges against Levi Bell (43) of Trenton alleging Stalking (Felony), Trespassing, and two counts Peace Disturbance. Bond was denied.
On September 17th, Grundy County Prosecutor Kelly Wayne Puckett filed charges against Kaden Olmstead (25) of Trenton alleging four counts Failure to Register as Sex Offender (Felony). A warrant was issued and bond set at $50,000, cash only.
On September 17th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Robert Keiffer (67) of Maryville alleging Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. Bond was denied.
On September 18th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a 75-year-old Blythedale woman was northbound on I-35 north of Eagleville when she attempted to turn onto an emergency crossover from the driving lane. The Patrol says she struck a van in the passing lane, injuring eight Oklahoma women ages 19 to 22.
On September 19th, the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a disturbance involving a firearm that occurred in Adams County. The individuals were believed to be traveling to Bedford. They were located in the Bedford School parking lot that night. No students or staff were physically harmed. Subsequently, the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department arrested Kaeden Foote (18) of Bedford on charges of Carrying Weapons on School Grounds (Felony) and Minor in Possession.
On September 19th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that two people were injured after an ATV went off the roadway and overturned at the intersection of Midway and Major Avenues 11 miles west of Weatherby in Daviess County at around 1:55 am.
On September 19th, Christopher Cantrell (46) of Bethany pleaded guilty in Daviess County Circuit Court to charges of DWI (Felony) and Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony). He was sentenced to four years in the Missouri Department of Corrections by Judge Daren Adkins.
On September 19th, Daviess County Prosecutor Andrea Beth Gibson filed charges against Lisa Tolen (54) of Jameson alleging Stealing. An affidavit from the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department alleges that the defendant was a housekeeper and made $700 in unauthorized credit card purchases from her employer for her own personal use.
On September 20th, the Atchison County Sheriff’s Office posted about two girls who went missing following the football game in Rock Port between Rock Port and Platte Valley. On September 19th at around 10:24 pm, the Atchison County Sheriff’s Office received notification that two Rock Port girls had gone missing after failing to return home following the game. They were last seen at around 8:40 pm near the southwest gate of the football field. Subsequently, they were seen walking westbound on Cass Street. The Missouri State Highway Patrol, FBI, Cyber Crimes Task Force, and Missouri Department of Conservation got involved. At 10:20 am, the girls were located safe and sound in Evansville (IN). A subject has been taken into custody. If anybody has relevant information, please contact the Atchison County Sheriff’s Department at (660) 744-6271. On September 20th, Atchison County Prosecutor Dan Smith filed charges against Dustin Hill (23) of Florence (AZ) alleging two counts Attempted Kidnapping (Felony). Bond was denied.
On September 21st, Daviess County Prosecutor Andrea Beth Gibson filed charges against Larayne Kost (24) of Mercer alleging Violation of Protection Order. Bond was set at $10,000, cash only. Defendant must wear GPS device. Defendant may have no contact with victim or witnesses.
On September 22nd, Isaac Lambert (26) of Maryville pleaded guilty in Nodaway County Circuit Court to charges of Tampering with Motor Vehicle and Stealing. He was placed on two years probation by Judge Corey Herron.
On September 22nd, Jordan Hayes pleaded guilty in Nodaway County Circuit Court to a charge of Domestic Assault. He was placed on two years probation by Judge Corey Herron. Defendant may have no contact with the victim. Defendant must spend three days shock time in jail.
On September 22nd, Amy Hahn (45) of St. Joseph pleaded guilty in Nodaway County Circuit Court to a charge of Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony). She was placed on five years probation by Judge Corey Herron.
Charges listed are merely allegations. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty it is to determine guilt or innocence. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
