Area Courthouse, Police, and Crime Reports for September 10th, 2025

On September 2nd, Gentry County Prosecutor Jessica Jones filed charges against John Bears (57) of Clearmont alleging Careless & Imprudent Driving (Accident). On September 3rd, he pleaded guilty and was assessed $265.50 in fines and costs by Judge Rebecca McGinley.

On September 2nd, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Jodi Henderson (28) of Lake City (FL) alleging DWI.

On September 2nd, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Logan Evans (34) of Stanberry alleging Tampering with Motor Vehicle (Felony) and Property Damage (Felony).

On September 2nd, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Melissa Sybert (40) of Maryville alleging Possession of Methamphetamine (Felony) and DWI. Bond was set at $5,000 with defendant given leave to post 10% cash.

On September 2nd, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Kelsey Yeager (33) of Maryville alleging Stealing. An affidavit from the Maryville Police Department alleges the defendant stole $46 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart.

On September 2nd, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Andrew Phillips (21) of Hopkins alleging Violation of Protection Order.

On September 2nd, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Cory Hutcherson (35) of Maryville alleging Failure to Register as Sex Offender (Felony).

On September 2nd, Rita Hanes (67) of Trenton pleaded guilty in Daviess County Associate Circuit Court to charges of DWI and Speeding. She was placed on two years probation by Judge Micha Lea Dixon and filed $155.50, court costs, and $129.11 recoupment fee. Defendant must serve two days in jail and perform 30 hours of community service.

On September 3rd, Armando Rocha (55) of Bellevue (NE) was ordered extradited from Nodaway County to Douglas County (NE) to face charges of Stealing.

On September 3rd, Harrison County Prosecutor Michael Wulff filed charges against Kaleb Fehring (19) of Trenton alleging Hunting from the Road, Hunting from a Motor Vehicle, Possession of Wildlife Taken Illegally, and Illegally Transporting Deer.

On September 3rd, Harrison County Prosecutor Michael Wulff filed charges against Zoey Griffel (24) of Lubbock (TX) alleging Careless & Imprudent Driving (Accident).

On September 3rd, Judge Robert Rice issued a warrant for the arrest of Michael Jacobs (33) of Maryville in Nodaway County Associate Circuit Court following receipt of a violation report. Bond was set at $250, cash only. Defendant was on probation for Peace Disturbance.

On September 3rd, Kristopher Todd (33) of Liberty failed to appear in Gentry County Associate Circuit Court on a charge of Driving While Revoked (Felony). A warrant was issued and bond was set at $1,000, cash only.

On September 3rd, Talia Nupp (37) of Bethany pleaded guilty in Daviess County Circuit Court to two counts of Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony), Making a False Report, and No Seat Belt. She was sentenced to seven years in the Missouri Department of Corrections by Judge Daren Adkins for the controlled substance charges, 60 additional days  for Making a False Report, and fined $10 for No Seat Belt. Defendant must pay court costs.

On September 3rd, Cory Burchett (41) of Trenton was sentenced to 10 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections by Judge Daren Adkins. The defendant had previously pleaded guilty to a charge of Trafficking Drugs (Felony).

On September 4th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Steven Cureton (39) of Maitland alleging Stealing. An affidavit from the Maryville Police Department alleged the defendant stole $499.37 from a local store.

On September 4th, Harrison County Prosecutor Michael Wulff filed charges against Jennifer Babbick (36) of Ridgeway alleging Child Abuse (Felony). Bond was denied.

On September 4th, Judge Corey Herron revoked the probation of Jagger Moad (23) of McFall in Gentry County Circuit Court after he was convicted of additional charges in Harrison County. He was sentenced to four years in the Missouri Department of Corrections. This is in addition to the sentence that he got in Harrison County. Defendant had been on probation in Gentry County on a charge of No Valid License (Felony).

On September 4th, Donald Gillespie (63) of Grant City pleaded guilty in Worth County Circuit Court to charges of DWI (Felony), Driving While Revoked (Felony), No Insurance, and Failure to Drive on Right Half of Roadway (Accident). A Sentencing Assessment Report was ordered and sentencing will be held at a later date.

On September 4th, Judge Corey Herron issued a warrant for Felicia Campbell (37) of St. Joseph alleging Failure to Abide by Order. The defendant was out on bond on Stealing (Felony) charges.

On September 4th, Misty Miller (35) of Chillicothe pleaded guilty in Livingston County Circuit Court to a charge of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. She was placed on two years probation by Judge Ryan Horsman.

On September 5th, Harrison County Prosecutor Michael Wulff filed charges against Gregory Johnson (49) of Bethany alleging Violation of Protection Order. Bond was set at $5,000, cash only.

On September 5th, a white truck ran off the side of the road on Route 46 in front of the Grant City Hy-Vee and went into the north ditch.

On September 5th, Daviess County Prosecutor Andrea Beth Gibson filed charges against Chayna Enloe (38) of Cameron alleging Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony). Bond was set at $10,000, cash only.

On September 6th, the Ringgold County Sheriff’s Department arrested Chad Hill (33) of Lamoni on charges of Possession of Controlled Substance and Public Intoxication. Bond was set at $1,300.

On September 6th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a Nebraska man was injured in a crash on Route O ten miles north of Blythedale at around 2:20 am when his 2022 Kia Telluride ran off the roadway, went off the west side, struck trees, traveled down an embankment, and hit the ground.

On September 8th, Garrett Coats (24) pleaded guilty in Nodaway County Circuit Court to a charge of Burglary (Felony). He was placed on probation by Judge Corey Herron. Defendant must make restitution of $990 to the victim.

On September 8th, Stephen Czechut-Webb pleaded guilty in Nodaway County Associate Circuit Court to a charge of Careless & Imprudent Driving (Accident). He was fined $30.50 plus costs by Judge Robert Rice.

On September 8th, Thomas Gilliland (28) of Pickering pleaded guilty in Nodaway County Circuit Court to a charge of Assault (Felony). He was placed on five years probation by Judge Corey Herron. Defendant must continue treatment and complete successfully.

Charges listed are merely allegations. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty it is to determine guilt or innocence. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
