Emmery Smith had a big night for Gilman City's junior high Hawks Tuesday, September 9th, crushing a triple and fanning 8 Mercer batters as the Hawks won 18-3 in their first junior high game. They took advantage of 15 walks and stole seven bases in the win. Reagan Crump added a double and Aspen Wyatt added a single. Hannah Arndt stole two bases while Autumn Clevenger, Emmery Smith, Josie Martin, Malory Chalfant, and Nova Smith had one each. The Hawks scored 13 in the first and five in the second for the win.
