Pattonsburg Receives Vote in Eight Man Poll

Pattonsburg received a vote in the latest Missouri 8-Man Football poll released Sunday. They beat North Andrew 74-42 Friday for their third win of the season and will play Princeton Friday. Princeton is winless, but is getting better every single week even though the scoreboard doesn’t show it yet.

At the top, Rock Port remains at #1 after they had little trouble disposing of East Atchison 56-0 Friday. The Blue Jays scored on their first play from scrimmage, got a stop, and were off to the races. They play Platte Valley, who recovered from their opening week loss to Pattonsburg to beat Stanberry 52-8 and DeKalb 44-16.

Lockwood remains at #2 following their 67-20 win over Jasper. They stunned Archie on Week 1 38-36 to catapult to #2 and have remained there ever since. They play Greenfield, who has hovered between 11-man and 8-man.

Archie has recovered to win their next two and maintains the third ranking. They are followed by Worth County, Nodaway Valley, King City, Norborne/Hardin Central, Northwest Hughesville, Appleton City, and North Shelby.

Also receiving votes besides Pattonsburg were Concordia, Knox County, and Wellington/Napoleon.

The biggest matchup in week four will be Wellington/Napoleon, which will be trying to catapult itself into the rankings if they beat North Shelby. Concordia will be pitted against newcomer Lincoln. Norborne/Hardin Central will play Orrick.
