Worth County Girls 6th at Tiger Relays

The Worth County girls were 6th at the Tiger Relays held last Wednesday. That event was moved from Tuesday because of rains. Maysville won the event with 87.50 points, followed by Stanberry with 74 and Rock Port with 66. North Harrison followed with 61, followed by King City with 56 and Worth County with 49.

Rebecca Moore was 6th in the Discus with a throw of 84'6". That was 19'8" off the distance of Makayla Vette of Rock Port, who had a throw of 104 feet.

Katie Mullock continued to place in the Long Jump. This time, she was 5th with a jump of 14'8". That was 1'2" off the jump of Torri Blythe of Maysville, who jumped 15'10".

Worth County finished 1-3 in the Pole Vault. Claire Andrews won with a vault of 8'6". That was six inches ahead of Amy Gully of Albany. Lauren Null matched a personal best and was third with 7'6".

The 4x800 team of Kristen Andrews, Liz Novak, Lauren Null, and Kiley Reynolds was 6th with a time of 11:23.89. They have taken 20-30 seconds off their times from earlier this year. That was 27.73 seconds off the pace set by Rock Port, with a time of 10:56.16.

Worth County placed two in the 100 Hurdles. Jessica Garrett came close to breaking the 18 second barrier, getting second with a time of 18.03. She came out ahead in a close three way race for second, one second behind Mary Jane Kapp of Maysville. Two other runners finished within .03 of a second of Garrett for second. Brooke Gilland was 6th with a time of 18.50.

Katie Mullock was 4th in the 200 Meter Dash with a time of 28.75. That was 1.87 seconds off the pace set by Chandelar Carey of North Harrison.

The 4x200 Relay Team of Kristen Andrews, Jessica Garrett, Brooke Gilland, and Kiley Reynolds was 3rd with a time of 2:03.67. That was 1.54 seconds off the pace set by Stanberry.

The 4x100 Relay Team of Kristen Andrews, Claire Andrews, Brooke Gilland, and Kiley Reynolds finished 4th with a time of 57.64. That was 3.15 seconds off the pace set by King City.

Katie Mullock was 4th in the 400 as she tried her hand in one of the medium distance races. She got a time of 1:07.44, 4.17 seconds off the pace set by Chandelar Carey of North Harrison.

Lauren Null showed a lot of promise of breaking out in the 800, contending with the leaders for a while before finishing 6th with a time of 2:50.26. That was 8.17 seconds off the pace set by Abbe Gibson of North Harrison.

The 4x400 Relay Team of Kristen Andrews, Claire Andrews, Liz Novak, and Kiley Reynolds was 5th with a time of 4:51.79. That was 19.75 seconds off the pace set by the winning Maysville team.
