Tiger Girls 5th in Stanberry

Worth County's girls finished 5th at the Stanberry Invitational, getting 46 points for the afternoon. Stanberry was 1st with 81 points, followed by Mound City with 73, DeKalb with 58, and King City with 52.

The Tigers placed two in the 100 Meter Dash. Katie Mullock finished third with a time of 13.94, 26 hundredths of a second behind Jordan Breckenridge of King City. Claire Andrews was 5th with a time of 14.39.

Worth County also placed two in the 100 Hurdles. Jessica Garrett was third with a time of 18.32. That was .62 of a second behind Tiffany Bomberger of DeKalb. Brooke Gilland was sixth with a time of 18.99.

The 4x400 team was 4th for the afternoon with a time of 11:50.40. The 4x100 team finished third with a tie of 57.04, slightly under two seconds behind Albany. They were also third in the 4x200 with a time of 1:58.63, slightly under two seconds behind Stanberry.

Rebecca Moore continued to win in the discus events, getting a throw of 89'5". That was five feet ahead of Krysta Beattie of Nodaway-Holt.

Katie Mullock was 5th in the Long Jump with a jump of 14'5 1/2". She said her goal was to get to 15 feet, which she has done before.

Kiley Reynolds continued to place in the 200, this time taking 6th with a time of 31.73. That was three seconds behind the pace set by Megan Rosenbohm of Nodaway-Holt. That was one of the closest races of the afternoon as she beat out Allison Luke of Stanberry by one hundreth of a second.

Worth County was 5th in the 4x400 with a time of 4:44.53. That was 22 seconds off the pace set by Mound City, who was way ahead of everyone else.
