Tiger Boys Tie for Second at Newtown-Harris Invitational

Worth County's boys tied for second at the Newtown-Harris Invitational last Tuesday at Graceland. Worth County finished with 101 points, tied for Stanberry. Princeton was first with 122. Following those teams were Maysville with 78, Newtown-Harris with 52, and South Harrison with 46.

Brian Hall was 5th in the Shot Put with a throw of 39'1/2". That was almost three feet off the throw of Jansen Stark of Princeton with a throw of 41'10". Worth County finished 1-3 in the Discus with Hall winning with a throw of 132'8" and Dallas Greenland finishing third with a throw of 115'9".

Grant Parman was third in the Triple Jump, not too far off of first place. He finished with a jump of 35'8, just 5 1/2" behind the winning jump of 36'3 1/2" set by Dakota Peterson. Shane Kollitz was 12th with a jump of 30'10 1/2".

Winning the Long Jump was Eli Mullock with a jump of 18'9". That easily outdistanced Kameron Cool of Newtown-Harris with a jump of 17'11". Grant Parman was 4th with a jump of 17' 8 1/2".

In the 4x800, Worth County was 6th with a time of 9:35.80. That was 40 seconds off the pace set by Princeton.

Bryce Ross was 5th in the 110 Hurdles with a time of 20.87. That was 3.29 seconds off the pace set by Nick Roberts of Princeton.

Eli Mullock won the 100 Meter Dash. He beat out Dominick Fleeks of Stewartsville by 3 hundredths of a second. Alex Harmening was 7th with a time of 12.47.

Worth County was 6th in the 4x200 with a time of 1:48. That was 9.57 seconds off the pace set by Stanberry.

Mitch Andrews was 6th in the 1600 with a time of 5:20.10. That was just under 40 seconds off the pace set by Blake Goodin of Princeton.

The 4x100 Relay Team won with a time of 47.60. That was .74 of a second ahead of the second place Maysville squad.

Ryan Smith was 8th in the 400 Meter Dash to post his first points of the year for the Tigers. He had a time of 1:01.75. That was just under 10 seconds off the pace set by Fleeks. Andrew Mullock was 11th with a time of 1:04.09.

Bryce Ross was 6th in the 300 Hurdles with a time of 48.31. That was 2.09 seconds off the pace set by Dakota Wright of Cainsville.

Justin Smith was 13th in the 800 with a time of 2:44.

Eli Mullock this time beat out another Fleeks, Dominick Fleeks of Stewartsville in the 200. Eli finished with a time of 22.97. Dominick finished with a time of 23.15 while Lafayette finished with a time of 23.85. Alex Harmening was 7th with a time of 25.81.

Levi Kalal was 4th in the 3200 with a time of 12:09.96. That was 43.96 seconds behind the pace of Myles Dustman of Tri-County with a time of 11:26.

Worth County was 5th in the 4x400 with a time of 3:58.99. That was 14.99 seconds off the pace set by Princeton.
