Downtown Renovation in Grant City Moves to North Side

The Downtown Renovation Project moved to the north side of the square Monday, with work crews pouring on concrete as the weather warmed up. The east side of the square is mostly done, with the south and west sides of the square waiting to be done. There was no parking and all traffic was moved off for the painting. The sidewalk was dug up and there were wooden ramps for people to get into their businesses. All downtown businesses will remain open during the Downtown Renovation Project. The project was paid for by an appropriation pushed through by former Senator Kit Bond's office.
