This memo will cover various items:
1. Enclosed, one will find the first progress reports for the fourth quarter. Should you have a question about a course grade, please speak with the teacher.
2. Quarter grades for the third and fourth quarter are combined with semester tests or End of Course Assessments for the second semester grade.
3. Mrs. Goodwin has included a note for parents for high school students explaining End of Course Assessments.
4. At times, our students ask if they can take their cell phones to class so a parent can contact them. Parents who need to contact their child through the school day are asked to call one of the school telephone numbers. If a parent calls, we will do as the parent requests by either calling the student to the telephone or deliver a message to the student. Students can receive permission to use a cell phone to speak with or text parents. About 97% of our students are prudent in asking to use their cell phones in the office area. We will limit or restrict students who abuse the privilege of using the cell phone at school by excessively asking to use the cell phone or who do not talk or act appropriately while on the cell phone.
5. Summer school will be held from June 1st to June 28th. Worth County will definitely offer the course recovery option this summer. Course recovery courses are courses one needs to take to receive credit for a semester or possibly the year. We hope to offer enrichment courses. Enrichment courses are courses one normally takes for additional course offerings such as the course "Play On." The enrichment courses are subject to state summer school funding.

May 5th -- End of Course testing for Algebra and Fundamentals of Algerbra.
May 5th -- GRC Junior High Track, 3:00 p.m.
May 6th -- Junior High GRC Make-up, Elementary Track (?); Barnyard (?)
May 7th -- District Track at Rock Port
May 9th -- FFA Banquet
May 10th -- EOC for Geometry and Government.
May 10th -- Band Concert.
May 11th -- EOC for CAH, Biology.
May 11th -- Vocal Concert.
May 12th -- EOC for Algebra II.
May 12th -- Awards Day at 1:30.
May 12th -- Elementary & 7th Band Concert.
May 13th -- Elementary Concert & Grandparent's Day.
May 13th -- Worth County Athletic Banquet.
May 14th -- Sectional Track at Albany, 11 p.m.
May 15th -- Graduation at 2:00 p.m.
May 15th to 17th -- State Golf.
May 17th -- EOC, English 2.
May 18th -- SOC, English 1.
May 18-24 -- Semester Tests.
May 19-21 -- State Track.
May 24th -- Last day of school.
June 1st - 28th -- Summer School.
