Tiger Girls 3rd at Albany Double Quad

Worth County's girls finished third in the Double Quad meet held at Albany Saturday. Along the way, they got several firsts during the afternoon. Rock Port won the event with 134.50 points, followed by Tarkio with 131. Worth County finished with 86 points to edge out Albany, who had 82.

Worth County placed two in the 100 Meter Dash. Katie Mullock finished third with a time of 14.14. That was .64 seconds off the winning pace set by Chandelar Carey of North Harrison. Jessica Garrett was 7th with a time of 14.87 while Sheena Fletchall finished with a time of 16.91.

Worth County finished 1-2 in the 200. Katie Mullcok won with a time of 29.51, followed by Jessica Garrett with a time of 30.99. Sheena Fletchall finished with a time of 38.73.

Worth County also placed runners in the medium distance events. Katie Mullock was second in the 400 with a time of 1:07.17. That was .32 of a second behind the pace set by Olivia Paden of North Platte. Kristen Andrews was 4th with a time of 1:10.24 while Liz Novak was 6th with a time of 1:12.44, which was a personal best. In the 800, Andrews was 4th with a run of 3:04.25 while Novak was 7th with a time of 3:18.15.

Worth County finished 1-2 in the 100 hurdles. Jessica Garrett won with a personal best of 18.09 to beat out Brooke Gilland, who was second with a time of 18.36.

Lauren Null was 4th in the Pole Vault with her best jump of the year, getting 7 feet in the event.

Katie Mullock was 4th in the Long Jump with a jump of 11'11 1/4".

In the Shot Put, Rebecca Moore was 9th with a throw of 24'1". Worth County placed two in the Discus as Rebecca Moore was third with a throw of 88'11 1/2". Brooke Gilland was 6th with a throw of 72'8".
