Well, we have had a touch of hot weather, beautiful spring weather, some wind and a reminder of cold weather; all in a week. That is typical Missouri weather, is it not? We have had quite a week here. On Saturday evening the 9th, 49 students came by for a Promenade for us before they went on to their Prom. All the young ladies looked so very beautiful, and the young men were looking quite wonderful, too. Our Director of Nursing, Beverly Miller, and Karen had set up a backdrop where the Prom-goers had their pictures taken before they left us. On Monday we poured over the pictures to select winners of the categories we had chosen prior to them coming; which was no easy task. Now we have all the pictures up on the wall in the dining room, and we continue to enjoy them and comment on them. We did so appreciate each of them taking the time to come by! This week we have enjoyed Becky and Rachel reading to us, exercises, Bingo with Shirley, Karen, and Marilyn, domino games in the dining room and on Friday we celebrated the anniversary of the first McDonald's fast food restaurant opening by having hot apple turnovers, chocolate, vanilla and strawberry milkshakes, and some very interesting McDonald's trivia. Do you know how many sesame seeds are on the average Big Mac? We now do; the answer is 178. On Saturday afternoon the 16th the Grant City Baptist Church's Easter Cantata was performed for us. It presented a great message. We will be looking forward to better weather, and all the children that will be coming to the Easter Egg Hunt here on April 23rd at 1:30. Our condolences go to Jubal Hunt's family.
