City of Sheridan to Enforce Dog Ordinances

Mayor Leland Wake said that the City of Sheridan was planning to enforce its dog ordinances. All dogs must be either on their property or on a leash and persons living in city limits may not have more than three. Dogs have been an ongoing issue in Sheridan; two years ago, there were several that were poisoned, only for the complaints about dogs running loose to resume a few months later. Grant City has also been enforcing its dog ordinances; they have built a dog pound at the city barn where they pick up dogs which are running loose in violation of city ordinances.
