Vandals in Sheridan have broken two windows of Jim Bullock’s residence, knocked on doors and ran away, littered in the ditch north of the Park, and have stacked the picnic tables vertically so they could climb up the Shelter House roof, the Sheridan City Council learned at their regular meeting Monday. Mayor Butch Thomas said he had called the Sheriff over the windows being broken.
More trees are about to go in the Sheridan Park. The Emerald Ash Borer has been targeting ash trees in the park, including one north of the Outhouse and the one by the main shelter house. The new tree planted on the west side of the park in memory of Jeff Haley is not growing. The tree next to the basketball court is getting hollow, and could damage either the Shelter House or the basketball net if it falls.
Mary Jo Riley reported the north ditch is overflowing and flooding her basement.
