The Hopkins CBC helped with the recent Pickering Sign fundraiser. They donated the food for the event, which raised at least $1,700 as of Monday evening. The estimated cost of a digital sign is around $50,000.
The CBC also purchased benches for the sidewalk north of the Roxy.
The CBC is still seeking funding to demolish abandoned homes in Hopkins, Six owners were still interested in helping to provide a match.
Volunteers signed up for manning the Hopkins Picnic booth. The CBC will be auctioning off various goods and services from local businesses.
Paul Nelson painted the Hopkins sign at the Baptist Church.
Anna Mae Thompson and Glenda Wyer-Nelson cleaned up the weeds at the old car wash.
The dumpster filled up quickly during the recent citywide cleanup.
Someone cleaned up around the Hopkins Park and walking trail.
Bingo nights were set for the next several months. They were set for September 13th, October 25th, November 22nd, January 24th, February 21st, and March 21st. They will be held at the Community Building. Doors will open at 5 pm each night and Bingo will start at 6:30 pm. Concessions will be provided.
