Evelyn A. Scadden-Berg, 91, of Maryville, Missouri passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at the Maryville Living Center.
Evelyn was
born on November 11, 1933, to Wesley Cleaver Spoonemore and Jessie Jane
(Messner) Spoonemore McFarland. She attended school in Parnell, Missouri and
was a homemaker, member of the First United Methodist Church in Parnell and the
American Legion Auxiliary.
On July 3,
1949, she was united in marriage to Clinton “Jack” Scadden in Ravenwood,
Missouri. They farmed west of Parnell, Missouri. He preceded her in death on
April 18, 1988. She was also preceded by her parents, and seven siblings,
LaVeta Jones, Von Ceile Parman,
Georgia Russell, Marcella Giesken, Estel Owens, Charles Spoonemore and Frankie
Caldwell, daughter, Diane Scadden and son, Timothy Scadden.
Evelyn leaves
behind her son, Terry Lee (Shoney) Scadden; grandchildren, Sonny (Mindy)
Scadden and Sheldon (Christy) Scadden; five great-grandchildren, Kolby, Kaden,
Kyler, Wyatt, and Rylee Scadden.
On July 7,
1990, she married Alfred Berg, who also preceded her in death on October 11,
2003. She leaves behind two stepdaughters, Pamela Auffert and Tammy Jackson;
four step-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces
and nephews.
Services 10am
Monday, July 14th at Price Funeral Home. Burial Grant City Cemetery,
Grant City, Missouri. The family will receive friends from 4pm to 6pm on
Sunday, July 13th at the funeral home. In memory of Evelyn, her
family suggests memorials to the Mosaic Hospice of Maryville.
