Letter to the Editor -- KXCV Letter on End of Funding

Dear KXCV/KRNW Listeners,

After months of threats and efforts to discredit public broadcasting, Congress voted last week to defund the Corporation of Public Broadcasting. For KXCV/KRNW, this means a loss of nearly $198,000 a year.

While this action sends KXCV/KRNW and all public radio into an uncharted future, we remain committed to you and our community.

KXCV/KRNW will continue to provide factual, in-depth local news, sports, and weather coverage and be here with music, whether you tune in for Rhythm & Roots in the morning or classical and jazz programming in the evening.

As we plan our path ahead, your continued partnership and financial support is crucial.

Whether you have been a longtime supporter of KXCV/KRNW or have just become a member of our community, we are grateful for you.

John Coffey, Station Manager
Maryville, MO
