On June 11th, Platte County Assistant Prosecutor Michelle Rioux filed charges against Ruslan Huseynov (35) of Kansas City alleging Murder (2nd Degree), Unlawful Use of a Weapon (Felony), and Armed Criminal Action (Felony). Bond was denied. An affidavit from the Platte County Sheriff’s Department alleges that on January 10th, 2025, the defendant shot Dennis Sharkey, a sports reporter for the Platte County Citizen, in a road rage incident on I-29 and drove off. In a separate case, Platte County Assistant Prosecutor Joseph Findley filed charges against Huseynov alleging Stealing. An affidavit from the Platte Sheriff’s Department alleges the defendant, subsequent to the alleged murder, entered the Platte City Price Chopper on three occasions in April 2025 and stole items from the store. Bond was set at $10,000, cash only.
On July 1st, Juvahani Rodriguez (19) of Maryville pleaded guilty in Nodaway County Associate Circuit Court to a charge of Trespassing. He was placed on two years probation by Judge Robert Rice. Defendant may have no contact with victim or enter the campus of Northwest Missouri State.
On July 1st, David White (53) of Skidmore failed to appear in Nodaway County Associate Circuit Court on charges of Delivery of Controlled Substance (Felony) and Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony). A warrant was issued and bond denied. On June 10th, defendant had been released on his own recognizance by Judge Robert Rice for medical treatment.
On July 1st, John McWilliams (47) of Altamont surrendered his probation in Daviess County Associate Circuit Court. He was ordered to serve 60 days in jail by Judge Micha Lea Dixon on a charge of Harassment.
On July 1st, Christopher Huffman (36) of Jamesport pleaded guilty in Daviess County Associate Circuit Court to charges of Assault and Resisting Arrest. He was sentenced to 150 days in jail by Judge Micha Lea Dixon with credit for time served.
On July 1st, Ericka Austin (48) of St. Joseph pleaded guilty in Daviess County Associate Circuit Court to a charge of Harassment. She was placed on two years probation by Judge Micha Lea Dixon.
On July 1st, John Kolega (74) of Lake Viking pleaded guilty in Daviess County Associate Circuit Court to charges of Assault and Stealing. He was placed on two years probation by Judge Micha Lea Dixon and ordered to serve 72 hours in jail.
On July 2nd, Enrique Rios (28) of Elmo pleaded guilty in Nodaway County Associate Circuit Court to a charge of Failure to Drive on Right Half of Roadway (Accident). He was fined $80.50 plus court costs by Judge Robert Rice.
On July 2nd, Daviess County Prosecutor Andrea Beth Gibson filed charges against Rebecca Waldeier (63) of Altamont alleging DWI (Felony). Bond was set at $10,000, cash only.
On July 2nd, Daviess County Prosecutor Andrea Beth Gibson filed charges against Brian Hedrick (67) of Pattonsburg alleging Property Damage.
On July 2nd, Daviess County Prosecutor Andrea Beth Gibson filed charges against Jordan Riggins (37) of Ludlow alleging Domestic Assault (Felony) and Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Felony). Bond was denied.
On July 3rd, Nicholas VanHorn (36) of Albany pleaded guilty in Gentry County Associate Circuit Court to a charge of Assault. He was placed on two years probation by Judge Rebecca McGinley. Defendant must serve 10 days shock time with credit for time served, complete two anger management programs, and pay court costs.
On July 3rd, William McNab II (45) of Albany pleaded guilty in Gentry County Associate Circuit Court to charges of DWI and Speeding. He was placed on two years probation by Judge Rebecca McGinley. He was assessed $326.50 in fines and court costs, serve four days shock time to be served on weekends, and complete SATOP.
On July 3rd, Judge Corey Herron issued a warrant for Shahana Hall (33) of Maryville following receipt of a violation report. A warrant was issued and bond denied. Defendant was on probation for Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony).
On July 3rd, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Jason Milbourn (44) of Ravenwood alleging Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony), Resisting Arrest (Felony), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Assault, and No Valid License. Bond was denied.
On July 4th, Harrison County Prosecutor Michael Wulff filed charges against Patricia Roberts (42) of Bethany alleging Violation of Protection Order. Bond was set at $5,000, cash only.
On July 4th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Kelly Milbourn (41) of Ravenwood alleging two counts Child Abuse (Felony) and Possession of Controlled Substance. Bond was set at $500, cash only.
On July 5th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Austin Jerome (26) of Clarinda alleging two counts Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Felony) and Kidnapping (Felony). Bond was denied. An affidavit from the Nodaway County Sheriff’s Department alleges that the charges arose following a police chase from Holt County into Nodaway County in which speeds reached 113 miles per hour. Jerome also faces charges in Holt County alleging Resisting Arrest (Felony), two counts Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Felony), and Speeding (110 mph). Bond was set at $45,000, cash or corporate surety.
On July 5th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Michael Schneider (36) of Guilford alleging Violation of Protection Order.
On July 5th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a 2012 Toyota Camry driven by a 41 year old woman from Gallatin ran off Route 6 near Altamont at around 11:35 am, overcorrected, ran off the other side down an embankment, and struck a fence and tree. She and a 39 year old man from Keokuk (IA) were seriously injured.
On July 5th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a 2019 Lincoln struck a 71 year old woman from Santee (CA) at around 11:28 pm on Route 136 near I-35 in Bethany, killing her.
On July 6th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Ray Wallace (45) of Marshalltown (IA) in Daviess County on charges of No Valid License (Felony), No Plates, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and a Cameron warrant for Driving While Revoked. Charges were filed the following day by Prosecutor Andrea Beth Gibson. Bond was set at $10,000, cash only.
On July 7th, Jamie Justice (41) of Maryville pleaded guilty to two counts of Burglary (Felony) and Stealing. They were placed on 5 years probation by Judge Corey Herron, sentenced to 28 days in jail with credit for time served, and ordered to make $680 in restitution to the victim.
On July 7th, Chad King (42) of Kansas City pleaded guilty in Nodaway County Circuit Court to two counts Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony) and Burglary (Felony). He was placed on five years probation by Judge Corey Herron. Defendant must enter and successfully complete a substance abuse program.
On July 7th, Tyler Marriott (23) of Maryville pleaded guilty to a charge of Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony). He was placed on five years probation by Judge Corey Herron.
