Hail Smith Ups School Record in Pole Vault; Wyatt Maize Wins

Hali Smith broke her own school record in the Pole Vault and Wyatt Maize won again at South Harrison Thursday. The Shamrocks collected 26 points on the girls side and 71 points and a fifth place finish on the boys side.

Smith was second in the 100 Hurdles with a height of 18.86. She broke her own school record and finished second in the Pole Vault with a height of 2.43 meters. She was fourth in the Long Jump with a jump of 4.39 meters. Gracie Young was eighth with a jump of 4.08 meters. Jaxcynn Hansel was seventh in the Discus with a throw of 21.87 meters. Hansel was seventh in the Javelin with a throw of 24.15 meters.

For the boys, Lane Graham was second in the 100 with a time of 11.80 seconds and second in the 200 with a time of 24.15. Lance Jacobs was seventh in the 110 Hurdles with a time of 22.60 and fifth in the 300 Hurdles with a time of 1:00.31.

The 4x100 team was third with a time of 48.42.

The Shamrocks were 1-2 in the Long Jump. Wyatt Maize won with a jump of 6.60 meters. Lane Graham was second with a jump of 5.85. Wyatt Maize also won the Triple Jump with a jump of 12.37 meters. Owan Roberson was second with a jump of 11.65 meters. He was sixth in the Discus with a throw of 31.90 meters. Kolton Graham was fifth in the Javelin with a throw of 35.77.
