On May 4th, the Ringgold County Sheriff’s Department arrested Bryan Solem (20) of Ames on charges of Possession of Controlled Substance and Speeding (74 mph).
On May 6th, Michael Hull (34) of Maryville pleaded guilty in Nodaway County Associate Circuit Court to a charge of Domestic Assault. He was sentenced to 10 days in jail by Judge Robert Rice with credit for time served. Defendant also admitted to violations of probation in a separate case of Assault and DWI and was placed on a new two year term of probation. Defendant may not possess or consume alcohol, may not enter any bars or liquor stores, maintain SCRAM device until July 6th, successfully complete a substance abuse evaluation, and no contact with victims.
On May 6th, Timothy Clement (67) of Skidmore pleaded guilty in Nodaway County Associate Circuit Court to charges of DWI and Failure to Drive on Right Half of Roadway. He was placed on two years probation by Judge Robert Rice and fined $60.50 plus costs. Defendant must successfully complete SATOP and the Midwest Victim Impact Program by August 6th.
On May 6th, Weston Redden (20) of Maryville pleaded guilty in Nodaway County Associate Circuit Court to a charge of Assault. He was placed on two years probation by Judge Robert Rice. Defendant must make $5,030.10 in restitution through the Prosecutor’s office and have no contact with the victim.
On May 6th, Cheryl Toombs (52) of Pattonsburg pleaded guilty in Daviess County Associate Circuit Court to charges of Harassment and Peace Disturbance. She was placed on two years probation by Judge Micha Lea Dixon. Defendant may not consume alcoholic beverages nor enter any bar or liquor store. Defendant must continue mental health treatment and have no abusive contact with the victim.
On May 6th, Richard Miller (41) of Cameron was sentenced to seven years in the Missouri Department of Corrections in DeKalb County Circuit Court by Judge Ryan Horsman. The defendant had pleaded guilty on March 4th to a charge of Statutory Rape (Felony).
On May 6th, Joseph Robinson (26) of Chillicothe pleaded guilty in Daviess County Associate Circuit Court to a charge of Assault (Felony). He was sentenced to 48 hours in jail by Judge Micha Lea Dixon.
On May 6th, Christian Elliott (30) of Dawn (MO) failed to appear in Daviess County Associate Circuit Court on charges of DWI and Careless & Imprudent Driving. A warrant was issued and bond set at $1,000, cash only.
On May 7th, the US Department of Justice announced the results of Operation Restore Justice, an effort to identify, track, and arrest child sex predators. The operation resulted in the rescue of 115 children and the arrests of 205 alleged child sexual abuse offenders. Four individual were arrested in the Western District of Missouri area.
On May 7th, the Western US Attorney’s Office announced that Andrew Alford (46) was sentenced to three years in prison and three years supervised release after he allegedly made a swatting call to an IRS office in Kansas City. The defendant allegedly falsely stated that an IRS employee was there with a gun and was threatening to shoot up the office. The employee in question and the defendant had been in a dating relationship.
On May 7th, the Ringgold County Sheriff’s Department arrested Charles Harmsen (55) of Clarinda on charges of Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony), Interference with Official Acts, Possession of Burglary Tools, and Driving While Revoked. Bond was set at $7,000, cash only.
On May 7th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Brittany Dukes (33) of Kansas City in Harrison County on charges of Speeding (94 mph) and No Valid License.
On May 7th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Ashley Swinney (31) of King City in Gentry County on charges of DWI (Drugs), Careless & Imprudent Driving (Accident), No Seat Belt, and Invalid Plates.
On May 7th, Gregory Oliveri (32) of Maryville pleaded guilty in Nodaway County Associate Circuit Court to a charge of Careless & Imprudent Driving (Accident). He was fined $80.50 plus court costs by Judge Robert Rice. Oliveri also pleaded guilty to a charge of Leaving the Scene. He was fined $250 plus costs.
On May 7th, Javier Palmer (20) of St. Joseph pleaded guilty in Gentry County Associate Circuit Court to a charge of Domestic Assault. He was sentenced to 45 days in jail by Judge Rebecca McGinley with credit for time served.
On May 7th, Lawrence Fitzgerald (29) of Cameron pleaded guilty in Daviess County Associate Circuit Court to two counts of Possession of Controlled Substance at Jail (Felony). He was placed on five years probation by Judge Daren Atkins.
On May 7th, Robert Ellis (40) of Cameron pleaded guilty in Gentry County Associate Circuit Court to a charge of Peace Disturbance. He was sentenced to 10 days in jail with credit for time served by Judge Rebecca McGinley.
On May 7th, Mercedez Harrison (21) of Savannah pleaded guilty in Gentry County Associate Circuit Court to a charge of Assault. She was assessed $290.50 in fines and costs by Judge Rebecca McGinley.
On May 7th, Lillian Jeffers (23) of Gallatin pleaded guilty in Daviess County Circuit Court to a charge of Domestic Assault (Felony). A presentence investigation was ordered and sentencing set for July 9th.
On May 8th, Gentry County Prosecutor Jessica Jones filed charges against Terrance Little (44) of Tampa (FL) and Raheen DuBose (40) of Fort Myers (FL) alleging Forgery (Felony) and Possession of Forging Instrument (Felony). Bond was set at $50,000, cash only. An affidavit from the Missouri State Highway Patrol alleges the defendants were in possession of $4,402 worth of counterfeit US currency. The Patrol seized the currency in question.
On May 9th, Harrison County Prosecutor Michael Wulff dismissed charges of Harassment and Kidnapping against Anthony Daleske (48) of New Hampton.
On May 9th, Donald Moad (54) of Albany pleaded guilty in Gentry County Circuit Court to a charge of Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony). He was sentenced to two years in the Missouri Department of Corrections by Judge Corey Herron with credit for 17 days served.
On May 9th, Christopher Nelson (36) of St. Joseph pleaded guilty in Gentry County Circuit Court to a charge of Driving While Revoked (Felony). He was placed on four years probation by Judge Corey Herron. Defendant may not possess or consume alcoholic beverages, enter any place whose principal occupation is the sale or dispensing of alcoholic beverages, and enter and successfully complete the 4th Circuit Alternative Court Program.
On May 9th, Michael Hamilton (31) of Albany pleaded guilty in Gentry County Circuit Court to charges of Driving While Revoked (Felony) and DWI. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail by Judge Corey Herron, to be served on weekends.
On May 9th, Brandon Church (41) of Darlington was fined $1,700 plus costs by Judge Corey Herron on charges of Forgery (Felony), No Insurance, and No Valid Motorcycle License. Church had been convicted by a Gentry County jury on September 24th.
On May 10th, the Ringgold County Sheriff’s Department arrested Levi Henry (22) of Ellston on a charge of Driving While Revoked. Bond was set at $1,000, cash only.
On May 10th, KTTN reported that the Chillicothe School District and Chillicothe Police Department are investigating an incident involving a substitute school bus driver who allegedly made inappropriate and threatening statements to students while transporting them. The driver was placed on administrative leave.
On May 11th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that at 12:45 pm in Daviess County, an 18 year old Albany man failed to yield the right of way at Route DD and Highway 6 near Gallatin and struck a Chrysler driven by a 37 year old man from Gallatin. Both men received minor injuries.
On May 11th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a 1997 Ford Ranger driven by a 66 year old man from Lenox was eastbound on Jade Road and stopped at a stop sign at 148 and 71 near Maryville. A 2018 Dodge Durango driven by a 40 year old woman from Maryville was northbound on 71. A Kia Spectra driven by a 70 year old man from Hopkins was westbound and stopped at a posted stop sign at 148 and 71. The Patrol reported that the Ford Ranger failed to yield to the Durango, resulting in a three-way collision. All three drivers sustained injuries.
On May 12th, Lisa Simmons (59) of Gallatin pleaded guilty in Daviess County Associate Circuit Court to a charge of Domestic Assault. She was sentenced to 15 days with credit for time served by Judge Micha Lea Dixon.
On May 12th, Wilbur Gingerich (32) of Bethany pleaded guilty in Grundy County Circuit Court to a charge of Assault (Felony). He was placed on probation for five years by Judge Carrie Clark and ordered to serve 136 days shock time in jail with credit for 96 days and 40 days remaining.
Charges listed are merely allegations. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty it is to determine guilt or innocence. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
