A free livestock showing clinic will be held Saturday, May 17th, 2025 at the Nodaway County Community Building, 25669 Hawk Road, Maryville, from 10 am to 2 pm.
This is for ages 5 and up. It will teach the fundamentals of showing livestock, including swine, sheep, goats, beef, rabbits, and poultry.
Topics include introduction to raising and showing livestock, including understanding the show ring; daily care, proper handling techniques, showmanship skills, basic grooming, and judging basics.
There will be animals on display for demonstration purposes. No prior experience is necessary. Please dress accordingly, as you may get dirty. Comfortable closed-toe shoes are recommended. Lunch will be provided.
