Paige West Wins Twice at Mound City

Paige West won twice at Mound City, in the 300 Hurdles and the Long Jump. She had been close all year in those events, but finally came out on top there. She also won the Long Jump last year in Mound City. It was an optional meet, as many kids were gone to State FFA, which was being held at the same time.

West was fourth in the 100 Hurdles. But without Anna Gladstone or Kristin Herndon ahead of her, she was able to set a personal best and win the 300 hurdles with a time of 51.51. She also took third in the High Jump with a height of 4’8”, matching a personal best. She won the Long Jump with a jump of 16 feet, close to a personal best.

In other NEN results, Alba Vozmediario was fourth in the 400 with a time of 1:06.14, a personal best. The 4x400 team of Ilenia Ricci, Victoria Moran, Alba Vozmediario, and Esther Gerloff was fourth with a time of 5:20.59.

For the boys, Levi Germann was fifth in the 400 with a time of 58.68. The 4x100 team of Ben Boswell, Landen Allen, Brayden Munns, and Preston Hillyard was fifth with a time of 52 seconds. The 4x200 team of Chase Atkins, Preston Hillyard, Levi Germann, and Ben Boswell was fifth with a time of 1:48.29. The 4x400 team of Ben Boswell, Brayden Munns, Levi Germann, and Landen Allen was fourth with a time of 4:06.02. Levi Germann was fifth in the Triple Jump with a jump of 35’5”.
