12 Bluejay Junior High Track Records Fall

Twelve NEN junior high track records fell by the wayside this year.

For the boys, Gracin Runde set a record in the 800 with a time of 2:23.02. He also broke the Triple Jump record with a time of 9.53 meters.

The girls won the first two meets in at least 17 years, at the 275 Conference Meet and King City. Emma Wilmes broke the 100 record with a time of 13.76. Ellie Jackson broke the 200 with a time of 29.20. Emma Wilmes broke the 400 with a time of 1:05.14. Aubrey Wilmes broke the 800 with a time of 2:47.04. Kenzley Yost broke the 100 Hurdles with a time of 20.58. Kiley Yost broke the 1600 record with a time of 6:33.91.

The 4x100 team of Bexlie Busby, Kenzley Yost, Khloey Burns, and Ellie Jackson set a new record time of 59.05. The 4x400 team of Aubrey Wilmes, Kenzley Yost, Ellie Jackson, and Emma Wilmes set a new record at the 275 with a time of 4:35.08. Khloe Burns set two new records, throwing the discus with a distance of 22.62 meters and the Shot Put with a distance of 10.63 meters.

Junior High Bluejay Girls Win First Meets in Many Years, Claim 275 Title

The Northeast Nodaway junior high girls track team won two first track meets this year, their first track meet victories for either a varsity or junior high girls team since at least 2009. Earlier this year, they tied with Stanberry at King City in a running-only event to break the ice. The boys won a meet in junior high last year. At the Highway 275 Conference meet Tuesday, May 5th, the Bluejays won outright.

The girls had 89 team points. Rock Port had 67, East Atchison 57, DeKalb 53.5, Mound City 44, Nodaway Valley 37, Platte Valley 32.5, Craig 30, OSHS 19, North Nodaway 17, and South Holt 16.

Emma Wilmes was second in the 100 with a time of 14.38. Bexlie Busby was third with a personal best time of 14.66. Ellie Jackson was second in the 200 with a time of 29.56. Khloe Burns was fourth with a time of 30.35. Emma Wilmes was second in the 400 with a personal best time of 1:05.14. Kinley Emery got a personal best in the 400 with a time of 1:17.72. Kiley Yost was sixth in the 1600 with a personal best time of 6:33.91. Kenzley Yost got a personal best in the 100 Hurdles with a time of 20.58.

The 4x100 team of Bexlie Busby, Kinley Emery, Eryn O’Connell, and Aubrey Wilmes got a personal best with a time of 1:01.92. The 4x200 team of Khloey Burns, Bexlie Busby, Kenzley Yost, and Ellie Jackson won with a  time of 2:02.41. The 4x400 team of Aubrey Wilmes, Kenzley Yost, Ellie Jackson, and Emma Wilmes won with a personal best time of 4:35.08.

Khloe Burns won the Shot Put with a throw of 10.36 meters. Bexlie Busby was third with a personal best of 9.54 meters. Khloe Burns also won the Discus with a personal best throw of 22.62 meters. Eryn O’Connell was fifth with a personal best throw of 19.93 meters.

Emma Wilmes was fourth in the High Jump with a jump of 1.31 meters. Kenzley Yost was fifth with a height of 1.31 meters, a personal best.

For the boys, Rock Port had 85, Platte Valley 64.33, Nodaway Valley 51, Craig 50, Mound City 44, East Atchison 35.33, North Nodaway 34, South Holt 31, NEN 24, OSHS 23.33, DeKalb 16, and Union Star 7.

Jacob Vicker got a personal best in the 100 with a time of 18.22. Jaxen Taylor was fifth in the 200 with a time of 30.04 meters. Paxton Bennett was fifth in the 400 with a personal best time of 1:02.96. Noah Cordell got a personal best with a time of 1:12.67. Gracin Runde was third in the 800 with a time of 2:24.56. Aiden Welch got a personal best with a time of 3:00.04. Aiden Welch got a personal best in the 1600 with a time of 6:34.98.

The 4x100 team of Brody Jackson, Noah Cordell, Cooper Jackson, and Jaxen Taylor was fifth with a personal best time of 58.97. The 4x200 team of Brody Jackson, Noah Cordell, Cooper Jackson, and Paxton Bennett was sixth with a personal best time of 2:02.97. The 4x400 team of Paxton Bennett, Brody Jackson, Jaxen Taylor, and Gracin Runde was fourth with a personal best time of 4:27.47.

Jax Archer got a personal best in the Shot Put with a throw of 6.51 meters. Jacob Vicker got a personal best in the Discus with a throw of 16.49 meters. Jax Archer got a personal best with a throw of 15.60 meters.

Brody Jackson was fourth in the High Jump with a jump of 1.46 meters. Paxton Bennett was sixth in the Long Jump with a jump of 4.61 meters. Gracin Runde was fifth in the Triple Jump with a jump of 8.86 meters.

At the Junior High Tiger Relays April 30th, the Bluejay girls were third with 52 team points, while the boys were twelfth with 13 team points.

Emma Wilmes was third in the 100 with a time of 13.88. Ellie Jackson was third in the 200 with a time of 29.36. Emma Wilmes was second in the 400 with a time of 1:06.73. Aubrey Wilmes was fifth in the 800 with a personal best time of 2:47.04. Quindalyne Oelze got a personal best in the 1600 with a time of 7:01.87.

The 4x200 team of Bexlie Busby, Khloe Burns, Kenzley Yost, and Ellie Jackson was third with a personal best time of 2:00.15. The most exciting race of the afternoon was the duel between the Northeast Nodaway and Stanberry 4x400 teams. At first, the Bluejays got off to a bad start and started off in third place. But Kenzley Yost got them into second place and Ellie Jackson got them into the lead. Emma Wilmes seemingly left Waverly Groomer (daughter of NEN grad Abbie Stiens Groomer) in the dust, but Groomer found her second wind and caught her on the final curve. But Emma Wilmes found her second wind and pulled back ahead for the win. Northeast had 4:43.11 to 4:44.43 for Stanberry.

Khloe Burns won the Shot Put with a personal best 10.46 meters. Bexlie Busby was fifth with a throw of 9.18 meters. Khloe Burns was fifth in the Discus with a throw of 21.70 meters.

Kinley Emery got a personal best in the Long Jump with a jump of 3.74 meters, top among sixth graders.

For the boys, Jaxen Taylor got a personal best in the 100 with a time of 14.43. Jax Archer got a personal best with a time of 19.54. Brody Jackson got a personal best in the 200 with a time of 30.86. Jacob Vicker got a personal best with a time of 39.26. Cooper Jackson got a personal best in the 400 with a time of 1:14.64. Gracin Runde was second in the 800 with a personal best time of 2:23.02.

The 4x100 team of Paxton Bennett, Noah Cordell, Brody Jackson, and Cooper Jackson got a personal best with a time of 58.51. The 4x200 team of Noah Cordell, Brody Jackson, Cooper Jackson, and Jaxen Taylor got a personal best with a time of 2:03.86. The 4x400 team of Paxton Bennett, Noah Cordell, Jaxen Taylor, and Gracin Runde was fifth with a personal best time of 4:31.36.

Paxton Bennett was fifth in the Long Jump with a time of 4.56 meters. Gracin Runde was sixth in the Triple Jump with a jump of 9.23 meters. Jaxen Taylor got a personal best with a jump of 8.35 meters.

 

Emma Wilmes Wins Twice as JH Bluejay Girls Finish Third

Emma Wilmes won twice Thursday in Stanberry as Northeast Nodaway’s junior high girls finished third. She won the 100 with a time of 13.76, a personal best. Kinley Emery got a personal best with a time of 15.37. Emma’s other win was in the 400, where she got a time of 1:06.28, a personal best. Kinley Emery also got a personal best in that event, getting a time of 1:20.62.

In other girls action, Ellie Jackson was second in the 200 with a time of 29.35. Khloe Burns was third with a time of 29.72, a personal best. Aubrey Wilmes was third in the 800 with a time of 2:50.76, a personal best. Kiley Yost was eighth with a season best time of 2:58.64. Quindalyne Oelze was eighth in the 1600 with a personal best time of 7:19.09. Lillyan McCampbell got a personal best with a time of 9:09.59. Kenzley Yost was seventh in the 100 Hurdles with a personal best time of 20.82. Kiley Yost got a season best time of 21.01.

The 4x100 team of Bexlie Busby, Kinley Emery, Eryn O’Connell, and Kiley Yost was seventh with a time of 1:02.20. The 4x200 team of Khloey Burns, Bexlie Busby, Kenzley Yost, and Ellie Jackson was second with a time of 2:03.50. The 4x400 team of Aubrey Wilmes, Kenzley Yost, Ellie Jackson, and Emma Wilmes was second with a time of 4:43.69.

Khloe Burns won the Shot Put with a throw of 9.71 meters. Eryn O’Connell got a personal best with a throw of 8.33 meters. Khloe Burns was sixth in the Discus with a personal best throw of 20.82 meters. Bexlie Busby was seventh with a personal best throw of 19.33 meters.

Emma Wilmes was sixth in the High Jump with a height of 1.30 meters. Kenzley Yost was eighth with a height of 1.25 meters.

For the boys, Jax Archer got a personal best in the 100 with a time of 19.71. Jaxen Taylor got a personal best in the 200 with a time of 29.68, just out of the money. Gracin Runde was fifth in the 400 with a time of 1:01.80, a personal best. Paxton Bennett also got a personal best with a time of 1:04.26. Gracin Runde was eighth in the 800 with a time of 2:49.21.

The 4x100 team of Noah Cordell, Brody Jackson, Cooper Jackson, and Paxton Bennett was fifth with a time of 59.05. The 4x200 team of Jaxen Taylor, Cooper Jackson, Noah Cordell, and Brody Jackson was sixth with a time of 2:06.28. The 4x400 team of Brody Jackson, Jaxen Taylor, Gracin Runde, and Paxton Bennett was third with a time of 4:28.70. The Sprint Medley team of Jacob Vicker, Cooper Jackson, Noah Cordell, and Aiden Welch was eighth with a time of 2:29.86.

Paxton Bennett was fourth in the Long Jump with a jump of 4.64 meters. Noah Cordell got a personal best with a jump of 3.67 meters. Gracin Runde was third in the Triple Jump with a jump of 9.53 meters, a personal best.

 

Varsity Bluejay Boys Break School Record in 4x400

Northeast Nodaway’s varsity boys broke the school record in the 4x400 Relay Friday in Stanberry as the team of Bentin Roberts, Liam Cordell, Wyatt Scadden, and Jude Archer finished fifth with a time of 3:53.97. The previous record was set on April 4th, 2014 at the Fayette Relays with a time of 3:54.5.

Junior High Bluejay Girls Second at Squaw Creek

Northeast Nodaway’s Junior High girls were second Monday at the Squaw Creek Relays in Mound City. Mid-Buchanan had 85 points, NEN 70, East Buchanan 52, North Andrew 48, Nodaway Valley 46, Platte Valley 39.5, Mound City 36, Rock Port 35, East Atchison 35, St. Gregory’s 26, OSHS 24, DeKalb 22.5, Craig 16, South Holt 13, St. Joseph Christian 12, and North Nodaway 10.

Khloe Burns won the Shot Put with a throw of 9.94 meters. Bexlie Busby was third with a throw of 9.16 meters. The Bluejays were 1-2 in the Discus. Eryn O’Connell won with a throw of 19.78 meters. Bexlie Busby was second with a throw of 18.50 meters.

Emma Wilmes was third in the 100 with a time of 14 seconds. Emma Wilmes was third in the 400 with a time of 1:07.62. Ellie Jackson was fifth in the 200 with a time of 30.29. Khloey Burns was sixth with a time of 30.36.

The 4x200 Relay Team was third with a time of 2:03.73. The 4x100 was eighth with a time of 1:00.12. The 4x400 won with a time of 4:43.42.

For the boys, East Buchanan ran away with the meet with 131 points. Mid-Buchanan had 66, St. Joseph Christian 54, Rock Port 47.5, Platte Valley 41, Craig 40, Mound City 30, North Andrew 28, Nodaway Valley 23.5, South Holt 23, St. Gregory’s 22, NEN 22, North Nodaway 19, DeKalb 15, East Atchison 13, and OSHS 7.

Brody Jackson was seventh in the High Jump with a height of 1.47 meters. Gracin Runde was seventh in the Triple Jump with a jump of 9.49 meters. Paxton Bennett was fifth in the Long Jump with a jump of 4.84 meters. The 4x200 Relay Team was sixth with a time of 2:09.27. The 4x100 was eighth with a time of 58.21 seconds. Gracin Runde was second in the 800 with a time of 2:27.29. The 4x400 was seventh with a time of 4:37.87.

 

Jude Archer Wins 200 for Bluejays

Jude Archer won the 200 at Stanberry for Northeast Nodaway Friday in the highlight for the Bluejay track squad. He got a time of 24.04. Wyatt Scadden got a personal best time of 25.52.

In other action, Archer was sixth in the 100 with a time of 12.01. Bentin Roberts got a personal best with a time of 12.79. Bentin Roberts got a personal best in the 400 with a seventh place time of 56.12. Wyatt Scadden got a personal best of 59.75. Liam Cordell got a personal best in the 1600 with a time of 5:35.54. Xander Bodle got a personal best in the 300 Hurdles with a time of 57.63.

The 4x400 team of Bentin Roberts, Liam Cordell, Wyatt Scadden, and Jude Archer was fifth with a time of 3:53.97. Jace Burns was seventh in the Discus with a personal best throw of 31.03 meters. Jude Archer was fifth in the Javelin with a throw of 36.95 meters. Wyatt Scadden was fifth in the High Jump with a height of 1.70 meters.

For the girls, Blair Nelson got a personal best in the 100 with a time of 15.44. Rylee Scadden was eighth in the 200 with a time of 30.67. The 4x400 team of Brianna Meyer, Bristol Hicks, Piper Gray, and Rylee Scadden was fifth with a time of 4:55.67. Aubrey Fetters got a personal best in the Shot Put with a throw of 6.60 meters. Emma Vicker got a personal best in the High Jump with a height of 1.25 meters. Bristol Hicks got a personal best with a height of 1.20 meters.

 

NEN Boys Collect 27 Points at Albany

Northeast Nodaway’s boys collected 27 team points at Albany Monday.

Jude Archer got a personal best in the 100 with a third place finish of 11.52. Archer won the 200 with a time of 23.76., also a personal best. Archer was third in the 400 with a personal best time of 53.72. 

Fenton Ackley got a personal best in the Shot Put with a throw of 7.05 meters. Jace Burns got a personal best in the Discus with a throw of 23.79. Fenton Ackley got a personal best in the Discus with a throw of 15.95 meters. Jude Archer was seventh in the Javelin with a throw of 36.62.

Wyatt Scadden was seventh in the High Jump with a personal best of 1.70 meters. Bentin Roberts was eighth in the Long Jump with a personal best of 5.17 meters. Xander Bodle got a personal best in the Long Jump with a jump of 4.54 meters. 

For the girls, Rylee Scadden got a personal best in the 100 with a time of 14.53. Bristol Hicks got a personal best with a time of 15.35. Piper Gray got a personal best in the 200 with a time of 30.89. Rylee Scadden was sixth in the 400 with a personal best time of 1:09.09. Emma Vicker got a season best in the 1600 with a time of 8:30.34. Hayley Yost got a personal best in the Shot Put with a throw of 7.84 meters. Brianna Meyer got a personal best in the Discus with a throw of 22.06 meters. Meyer was sixth in the Javelin with a personal best throw of 26.12 meters. Aubrey Fetters got a personal best in the Javelin with a throw of 19.45 meters. Blair Nelson got a season best in the Long Jump with a jump of 4.03 meters. Nelson was seventh in the Triple Jump with a jump of 8.93 meters.

Junior High Bluejay Girls Third at Worth County

Northeast Nodaway’s junior high girls placed third at Worth County Tuesday, March 31st.

Emma Wilmes was fourth in the 100 with a time of 13.95. Ellie Jackson won the 200 with a time of 29.20. Emma Wilmes won the 400 with a time of 1:07.16. Aubrey Wilmes was third in the 800 with a time of 2:52.97. Kiley Yost was sixth in the 100 Hurdles with a time of 21.48.

The 4x100 team of Bexlie Busby, Kenzley Yost, Khloe Burns, and Ellie Jackson was fifth with a time of 59.05. The 4x400 team of Ellie Jackson, Kenzley Yost, Aubrey Wilmes, and Emma Wilmes was second with a time of 4:52.31.

Emma Wilmes and Kenzley Yost tied for sixth in the High Jump with a height of 1.30 meters. Khloe Burns won the Shot Put with a throw of 10.63 meters, running away with the competition. Burns was third in the Discus with a throw of 19.36 meters.

For the boys, Gracin Runde was second in the 800 with a time of 2:27.58. Runde was sixth in the 1600 with a time of 5:49.86.

The 4x200 team of Jaxen Taylor, Brody Jackson, Cooper Jackson, and Noah Cordell was fifth with a time of 2:08.35.

Gracin Runde was fifth in the Triple Jump with a jump of 8.85 meters.

 

Junior High Bluejays Post First NEN Track Victory in 19+ Years

The Northeast Nodaway junior high boys kept coming close and finally posted the first track meet victory by a Bluejay track team at any level in 19+ years, winning the Junior High Squaw Creek relays in Mound City Monday, April 14th. They almost came back for seconds, giving Worth County a run for its money at Stanberry Thursday. The girls were seventh.

For the boys, NEN had 69, Mid-Buchanan 63, Platte Valley 62, Mound City 60, North Andrew 53, South Holt 38, Rock Port 37, East Atchison 36, East Buchanan 31, Craig 30, North Nodaway 20, OSHS 14, and St. Joseph Christian 12.

The meet came down to the 4x400. Platte Valley had 62, Northeast Nodaway was at 59, and Mid-Buchanan was at 58. Platte Valley did not field a 4x400 team, meaning that Northeast Nodaway had to finish at least fifth and beat out Mid-Buchanan to win the whole meet. The Bluejays won the race by almost seven seconds ahead of Craig with a time of 4:20.79, while Mid-Buchanan was fourth with a time of 4:36.53.

Wyatt Scadden was second in the 100 with a time of 12.04. Bentin Roberts was sixth with a time of 12.44. Scadden was third in the 200 with a time of 26.41. Bentin Roberts was third in the 400 with a time of 1:01.05.

The Bluejays placed two in the 1600. Liam Cordell was sixth with a time of 5:56.24. Gracin Runde was seventh with a time of 5:56.81.

Wyatt Scadden was second in the High Jump with a height of 1.63 meters. Bentin Roberts was second in the Long Jump with a jump of 5.42 meters. Jace Burns was fourth in the Shot Put with a throw of 9.46.

The Bluejays placed two in the Discus. Jace Burns was third with a throw of 29.71 and Brady O’Connell was fifth with a throw of 29.09.

For the girls, Mid-Buchanan had 109, Rock Port 86, East Atchison 61, Mound City 58, St. Gregory’s 55, St. Joseph Christian 43, NEN 38, South Holt 30, North Andrew 25, East Buchanan 19, Platte Valley 15, OSHS 9, Craig 8, Nodaway Valley 7, and North Nodaway 1.

Piper Gray was sixth in the 200 with a time of 31.96. Rylee Scadden was third with a time of 1:09.65.

The 4x100 was second with a time of 59.42. The 4x200 was third with a time of 2:06.73. The 4x400 was third with a time of 4:59.94.

Khloe Burns was fourth in the Shot Put with a throw of 8.75 meters. Eryn O’Connell was seventh with a throw of 7.76. Burns was seventh in the Discus with a throw of 16.94.

Tigers Qualify Ten for State Track Meet

Ten Tigers qualified to go to state in track Saturday at the Sectional Track meet. They will compete at state this weekend.

The 97th MSHSAA Boys Track & Field Championships and the 49th Girls Championships will be held May 17th and 18th at Adkins Stadium at Jefferson City High School in Jefferson City. The Class 2 and 3 championships will be held there as well. Tickets are available at the MSHSAA website. There is a chance of rain Friday, but Saturday is forecast to be clear in Jefferson City.

For the girls, Rock Port had 91, East Atchison 60, K.C. Lutheran 59, Pattonsburg 49, Worth County 48, Santa Fe 44, Platte Valley 40, Concordia 38, Mound City 36, King City 34, Nodaway Valley 34, Albany 34, Wellington-Napoleon 34, St. Joseph Christian 27, Hardin-Central 18, Stanberry 16, Orrick 15, South Holt 12, DeKalb 12, Sweet Springs 8, Winston 8, Acaademie Lafayette 6, Norborne 5, Northwest Hughesville 5, NEN 2, and Green Ridge 1.

For the boys, Mound City had 90, Orrick 73, Worth County 57, Platte Valley 48, Concordia 47, Stanberry 43, Rock Port 41, Albany 40, Wellington-Napoleon 36, Sacred Heart 34, Nodaway Valley 33, Hardin-Central 33, Green Ridge 27, Sweet Springs 21, North Andrew 17, East Atchison 17, Otterville 11, DeKalb 10, North Nodaway 9, Academie Lafayette 9, King City 7, St. Joseph Christian 6, Pilot Grove 5, Northwest Hughesville 3, Union Star 3, Winston 3, Norborne 2, LaMonte 1, and South Holt 1.

For the boys, Lucas Frisch qualified for state in the 110 Hurdles. He was third with his second best time of the year at 16.06. Jonathon Harris (Orrick) will be tough to beat as he won with a time of 15.18. August Meadows (Mound City) was second with a time of 15.60 and Chauncey Brown (Mound City) was fourth with a time of 16.09.

The boys 4x200 team of Lucas Frisch, Landon Moser, Bo Collins, and Tyler New qualified with a third place finish of 1:33.68. They took two seconds off their time. The girls 4x200 team of Emma Spencer, Brooklyn Richardson, Keira Hardy, and Riley Ridge also qualified for state with a third place finish of 1:52.40 and took two seconds off their time. 

The girls duo of Emma Spencer and Brooklyn Richardson qualified for state in the 100, finishing third and fourth. Addison Grossenbacher (K.C. Lutheran) won with a time of 13.06 and Claire Staley (King City) was second with a time of 13.24. The girls 100 was a close race, as the second through seventh place finishers were within .18 of a second of each other. 

The boys 4x100 team of Lucas Frisch, Landon Moser, Bo Collins, and Tyler New made it through to the finals, placing third with a personal best time of 45.42. The girls 4x100  team of Emma Spencer, Brooklyn Richardson, Keira Hardy, and Rayleigh Smith made it as well, getting a second place finish of 52.10, a personal best.

Lucas Frisch took .42 of a second off his time in the 300 Hurdles and made it to state with a second place finish of 42.25, behind only August Meadows of Mound City. 

Emma Spencer qualified for state in the 200, placing fourth with a personal best time of 26.80. She has gotten better in the event every single time, knocking almost three seconds off her time.

Andrew Griffin narrowly missed out qualifying for state in the High Jump, getting fifth place with a height of 1.76 meters. He will return for two more years. He matched his second best height of the year.

Riley Ridge made it in the High Jump on the girls side, getting a second place jump of 1.54 meters. 

Eva Engel won the Pole Vault with a height of 3.17 meters. She battled difficult conditions; she was under the weather, and the event, which was supposed to start at 1:30 pm, did not start until 5:30 pm. But she pushed through with the win and will return to state.

On the boys side, Landon Moser narrowly missed out on a trip to state in the Long Jump, getting fifth with a jump of 5.87 meters. But he made it to state in the Triple Jump with a second place jump of 12.50 meters, a personal best.

Bo Collins made it to state in the Discus with a throw of 38.19 meters, good enough for fourth place.

Tyler New won the Javelin with a personal best throw of 46.72 meters, holding off Lucas Walker (Orrick) and Ean Meyer (Platte Valley).

Baylie Busby was seventh in the girls High Jump with a height of 1.38 meters. 

North Nodaway

Jordan DeLeon was fifth in the 110 Hurdles with a personal best time of 17.54. Mason Casner qualified for state in the Long Jump with a fourth place finish, matching a season best with 5.93 meters. 

Tiger Teams Finish Third at Districts in King City

Worth County’s teams both placed third at districts in King City and qualified many to Sectionals.

For the girls, Rock Port had 105, East Atchison 85, Worth County 75, Mound City 68, St. Joseph Christian 59, Platte Valley 58, Pattonsburg 55, Albany 47, King City 40, Nodaway Valley 38, Stanberry 37, South Holt 25, Winston 10, NEN 10, North Nodaway 4, North Andrew 2, and Union Star 1.

For the girls, Emma Spencer won the 100 with a season best time of 13.27, edging out Claire Staley (King City), who had 13.29. Brooklyn Richardson was third with a time of 13.40. Brianna Biondo (South Holt), who had won some meets earlier this year, finished fourth with a time of 13.60. The top four in each event qualifies for Sectionals. The top four in each Sectional qualifies for State.

Emma Spencer was second in the 200 with a time of 27.21. 

The Tigers placed two in the 100 Hurdles. Riley Ridge was seventh with a time of 18.30. Kristen Tracy was eighth with a time of 19.25. 

The 4x100 team won an exciting race over King City with the Tigers getting a time of 52.67 and King City a time of 52.74. The 4x200 was fourth with a time of 1:54.61. 

Riley Ridge was second in the High Jump with a height of 1.55 meters. 

The Tigers placed two in the Pole Vault. Eva Engel won with a height of 3.20 meters. Becca Smith saved her best for last as she got eighth with a personal best of 2 meters. 

Katelyn Fletchall was eighth in the Triple Jump with a jump of 8.59 meters. Kara Staton was sixth in the Shot Put with a season best throw of 9.92 meters. Staton was fifth in the Discus with a personal best throw of 33.26 meters. Autumn Cousatte was sixth in the Javelin with a throw of 28.99 meters.

For the boys, Lucas Frisch got a personal best in the 100 Hurdles. In an exciting three way race between Frisch, August Meadows (Mound City), and Chauncey Brown (Mound City), Meadows won with a time of 15.46, followed by Lucas Frisch with 15.57 and Brown with 16.00. Brayden Combs also got a personal best with a time of 18.65 and a sixth place finish. 

Frisch also got a personal best in the 300 Hurdles, where he finished second to Meadows with a time of 42.67. Combs saved his best for last, finishing sixth with a personal best time of 47.55.

The 4x100 had been edged out by Albany for much of the year, but broke the 46 second barrier and got a personal best to win Saturday with a time of 45.74. The 4x200 also got a personal best and won. After having been in the 1:40’s most of the year, they peaked during their last two meets and won Saturday with a time of 1:35.78, edging out Mound City, which had a time of 1:35.97. The 4x400 was sixth with a time of 3:57.68. 

Andrew Griffin was fourth in the High Jump with a height of 1.70 meters. 

The Tigers placed two in the Pole Vault. Brayden Combs was sixth with a height of 2.90 meters. Wyatt Hill was seventh with a height of 2.90 meters, with Combs winning on tiebreaks. 

Landon Moser was third in the Long Jump with a jump of 5.82 meters. He was third in the Triple Jump with a jump of 11.73 meters. 

Bo Collins was fifth in the Shot Put with a throw of 11.52 meters. He was fourth in the Discus with a throw of 38.28 meters. Tyler New won the Javelin with a throw of 45.08 meters.

NEN

Baylie Busby was third in the High Jump, matching a season best with a height of 1.45 meters. Dalanie Auffert saved her best for last as she was seventh in the Shot Put with a throw of 9.67 meters. 

For the boys, Jude Archer was eighth with a personal best of 12.42. Kenneth Schieber got a personal best in the 3200 with a time of 12:19.04. 

North Nodaway

Lauren Herndon came tantalizingly close to qualifying in the High Jump, getting fifth with a height of 1.40 meters. 

For the boys, Carlos Rohner got a personal best in the 400 with a time of 1:12.47. Draven Rowland got a personal best in the 800 with a time of 2:52.73. Jeremiah Vinzant knocked almost 21 seconds off his time in the 1600 with a time of 6:06.86. Jordan DeLeon got a personal best in the 100 Hurdles and finished fourth with a time of 18.06. 

The Mustangs placed two in the High Jump. Mason Casner was seventh with a height of 1.60 meters. Jordan DeLeon was eighth, also with a height of 1.60 meters.

Mason Casner was second in the Long Jump with a jump of 5.93, a season best. 

Junior High Tiger Girls Fourth at Home Meet; Dalton Guy Extends School Record for Shamrocks

The Worth County Junior High girls were fourth in the Tiger Relays Thursday, while Dalton Guy extended his school record for North Harrison. The event was limited to running events only due to field conditions.

For the girls, Rock Port had 92, Stanberry 70, St. Gregory’s 42, Worth County 41, North Harrison 13, King City 12, Bedford 10, Platte Valley 10, St. Joseph Christian 10, Union Star 7, and NEN 3.

For the boys, Stanberry had 62, King City 52, Platte Valley 46, Bedford 39, Rock Port 29, St. Joseph Christian 25, North Harrison 19, St. Gregory’s 18, Worth County 12, and NEN 8.

For the girls, Brooklyn Smith saved her best for last as she got third in the 100 with a time of 13.92. Paige Chaney got a personal best by over two seconds with a time of 15.51. Laura Hansen got a personal best in the 200 with a time of 38.50. Brooklyn Smith was third in the 400 with a time of 1:09.02. Laura Hansen got a personal best with a time of 1:29.51. Audrey Runde was third in the 100 Hurdles, coming close to a personal best with a time of 18.54.

The 4x100 team of Audrey Runde, Brianna Riley, Gracie Thurman, and Megan Tracy was third with a personal best time of 58.16. The 4x200 team of Kennedy Murphy, Hadley Rush, Gracie Thurman, and Megan Tracy was sixth with a time of 2:07.66. The 4x400 was third with a time of 5:11.04. The 800 Sprint Medley team of Audrey Runde, Brianna Riley, Brooklyn Smith, and Megan Tracy won and knocked 14+ seconds off their time, getting a time of 2:11.78.

For the boys, Tucker Fletchall got a personal best in the 100 with a time of 18.77. Jordan Dannar had been hovering between 1:04 and 1:07 in the 400 all year, but saved his best for last, getting fifth with a time of 1:03.06. Brock Healy was sixth in the 100 Hurdles with a time of 18.54.

The 4x100 team of Maverick Cox, Jordan Dannar, Brock Healy, and Bentley Frisch was sixth with a time of 57.72. The 4x200 team of Maverick Cox, Mason Hiatt, Bentley Frisch, and Jordan Dannar was fifth with a time of 1:56.34. The 4x400 team of Maverick Cox, Bentley Frisch, Brock Healy, and Mason Hiatt was third, taking 21+ seconds off their time and finishing with 4:33.79. 

NEN

Holly Bennett got a personal best in the 200 with a time of 36.31. Rylee Scadden got a personal best in the 400 with a time of 1:11.86. The 4x100 team of Holly Bennett, Piper Gray, Sadie Hall, and Rylee Scadden got a personal best with a time of 1:01.78. The 4x400 team of Piper Gray, Holly Bennett, Sadie Hall, and Rylee Scadden was sixth with a personal best time of 5:26.55. The 800 Sprint Medley team of Khloe Burns, Piper Gray, Sadie Hall, and Rylee Scadden was fifth with a time of 2:19.55. 

For the boys, Wyatt Scadden got a personal best in the 100 with a time of 13.31. Jaxen Taylor got a personal best in the 200 with a time of 35.10. Wyatt Scadden got a personal best in the 400 with a time of 1:04.11. The Bluejays got two personal bests in the 1600. Gracin Runde took 20+ seconds off his time and got a time of 5:56.70. Liam Cordell took almost two seconds off his time and got a time of 6:03.41.

The 4x400 team of Gracin Runde, Xander Bodle, Wyatt Scadden, and Liam Cordell was fourth with a time of 4:55.56. The 800 Sprint Medley team of Xander Bodle, Liam Cordell, Wyatt Scadden, and Gracin Runde was fourth with a time of 2:13.07. 

North Harrison

Raegan Hogan was sixth in the 100 with a time of 14.28. Hali Smith was fourth in the 100 Hurdles with a time of 18.70. Addison Milligan got a personal best with a time of 21.23. The 4x100 team of Ava Rinehart, Raegan Hogan, Gracie Young, and Addison Milligan was fifth with a personal best time of 1:00.22. The 800 Sprint Medley team of Gracie Young, Ava Rinehart, Addison Milligan, and Hali Smith was third with a time of 2:18.31. 

For the boys, Dalton Guy saved his best for last as he got a fifth place finish of 13.14 in the 100. Ryker Fortner was sixth in the 200 with a personal best time of 29.02. Cole Hartschen got a personal best as well, getting a time of 31.44. 

The highlight of the day was Dalton Guy extending his junior high school record time in the 100 Hurdles, getting a second place finish of 17.70. 

The 800 Sprint Medley team of Jensen Davis, Cole Hartschen, Ryker Fortner, and Dalton Guy took 12+ seconds off their time and took second with a time of 2:01.50. 

Junior High Tiger Girls Third at Rock Port, Boys Fourth; Brooklyn Smith Wins Long Jump, Bentley Frisch Wins Pole Vault

Brooklyn Smith won the Long Jump for the Junior High Tigers and Bentley Frisch won the Pole Vault Thursday at Rock Port in cold, damp conditions. 

For the girls, Rock Port ran away with the meet with 169 points. East Atchison had 69, Worth County 66, Mound City 63, Albany 26, South Holt 22, Union Star 13, North Andrew 12, Nodaway Valley 12, North Nodaway 7, and NEN 6.

For the boys, Rock Port had 100, Mound City 78, North Andrew 70, Worth County 53, Nodaway Valley 50, East Atchison 47, South Holt 33, Union Star 15, Albany 8, NEN 8, and North Nodaway 3.

For the girls, Brynn Chapman got a personal best in the 100 with a time of 17.79. Brooklyn Smith was fifth in the 400 with a time of 1:11.65. Hadley Rush was sixth in the 800 with a time of 3:15.62. Jolynn Hawk got a personal best with a time of 3:31.92. Audrey Runde was fourth in the 100 Hurdles with a season best of 19.26. 

The relay teams all placed. The 4x100 was second with a time of 59.44. The 4x200 was second with a time of 2:06. The 4x400 was fourth with a personal best time of 5:22.79, beating their old time by almost six seconds.

Brooklyn Smith was second in the High Jump with a personal best time of 1.32 meters. Paige Chaney was fifth with a time of 1.22. Megan Tracy was tied for second in the Pole Vault with a time of 1.98 meters. Hartley Fitzgerald was sixth with a personal best of 1.83. 

The highlight of the afternoon on the girls side was Brooklyn Smith winning the Long Jump with a jump of 4.48 meters. She beat her previous personal best by .32 of a meter. 

Megan Tracy was third in the Triple Jump with a personal best jump of 8.61. 

The Tigers may have found a new thrower. Audrey Runde, after starting off throwing between 16.94 and 17.62 meters, took a big leap forward and finished fourth with a throw of 21.95. Bella Blankenship was sixth with a throw of 19.45. 

For the boys, the Tigers placed two in the 100 Hurdles. Brock Healy was second with a time of 19 seconds. Mason Hiatt was fourth with a time of 19.67.

The 4x100 was third with a time of 56.86. The 4x200 was fourth with a time of 1:57.03.

The highlight of the afternoon for the boys was Bentley Frisch winning the Pole Vault with a height of 2.91 meters. It was a close three way race between Frisch, Cole White (Mound City), and Brock Healy, who really upped his game that afternoon. Frisch won out, with White second at 2.90 and Healy third with a personal best of 2.89. 

Maverick Cox tied for third in the Long Jump with a jump of 4.97 meters. Brock Healy was third in the Triple Jump with a jump of 9.59. 

Brock Healy was fourth in the Discus with a throw of 27.83. Wesley Brown got a personal best with a throw of 23.70. 

NEN

Piper Gray got a personal best in the 100 with a time of 15.79. Holly Bennett got a season best in the 200 with a time of 38.47. Rylee Scadden got a season best in the 400 with a time of 1:13.80. Sadie Hall got a personal best in the 100 Hurdles with a time of 21.54. 

The 4x100 was fifth with a time of 1:03.36. The 4x400 was fifth with a personal best time of 5:28.31. 

Piper Gray got a personal best in the Long Jump with a jump of 3.78 meters. Khloe Burns was fifth in the Shot Put with a throw of 8.79 meters. She was ahead of all the sixth and seventh graders; she will be a favorite to win that event next year if she works at it. 

Wyatt Scadden continued to move up the ranks in the 100, getting third with a personal best of 13.71. He was ahead of all the other seventh graders. He will be a favorite in that event along with Jackson Keho of North Nodaway next year if they work at it. 

Jaxen Taylor got a personal best in the 200 with a time of 37.56. Wyatt Scadden was sixth in the 400 with a time of 1:05.42. Liam Cordell got a personal best in the 800 with a time of 2:49.04. He got a season best in the 1600 with a time of 6:06.89. 

The Bluejays got two personal bests in the Long Jump. Xander Bodle got a personal best jump of 4.06 meters. Gracin Runde got a personal best jump of 3.69.

The field was loaded for Jace Burns in the Shot Put, but he beat all the seventh graders with a throw of 7.92 meters. He will be one to watch if he works at it. 

Brady O’Connell was sixth in the Discus with a throw of 24.68.

North Nodaway

Trynzlee Ebrecht got a personal best in the 400 with a time of 1:16.74. It was an improvement by over seven seconds from last year. Zoey Pearson got a personal best in the 1600 and was sixth with a time of 6:55.64. She beat her old mark by nine seconds. 

The Mustangs got two personal bests in the 100 Hurdles. Trynzlee Ebrecht got a personal best mark of 20 seconds. Pyper Smith got a personal best mark of 23.87.

The highlight of the day for the Mustangs was Ebrecht getting third in the Long Jump. She got a personal best mark of 4.15 meters, improving by almost half a meter. Zoey Phillips also got a personal best with a jump of 3.45. 

For the boys, Jackson Keho was sixth in the 100 with a time of 13.94. Gannon Stricker got a personal best time of 1:14.59 in the 400; it was an improvement of 3½ seconds. Robbie Forney got a personal best in the 100 Hurdles with a time of 21.83. It was an improvement of 1.56 seconds over last year.

The 4x400 was sixth with a personal best time of 5:08.80. It was an improvement of over seven seconds from their time at Mound City.

Tristen Wray got a personal best in the Long Jump with a jump of 3.26 meters. Jackson Keho was sixth in the Triple Jump with a personal best of 8.94 meters. 

Tiger Boys Win Home Meet as Wind Wreaks Havoc; Lane Graham Wins Long Jump for Shamrocks

Worth County’s boys overcame a windy afternoon that wreaked havoc on the meet and won their second meet of the year, edging out Rock Port and Stanberry. The girls finished ninth. North Harrison saw Lane Graham win the Long Jump as he continued on the tear that he started in Princeton the day before. 

For the girls, Rock Port had 88, East Atchison 71, South Harrison 63, Pattonsburg 57, Albany 54, Platte Valley 48, Maysville 41, Stanberry 24, Worth County 23, South Holt 23, Nodaway Valley 22, King City 17, DeKalb 13, NEN 5, East Harrison 2, North Harrison 2, and Tri-County 1.

For the boys, Worth County had 85, Rock Port 81, Stanberry 81, Platte Valley 55, Albany 48, South Harrison 47.5, East Atchison 35, King City 24, North Andrew 20, North Nodaway 18.5, North Harrison 10, South Holt 10, DeKalb 9, Maysville 8, NEN 8, Pattonsburg 5, Tri-County 4, Nodaway Valley 3, and East Harrison 2.

For the girls, Emma Spencer was fifth with a time of 14.54. The 4x100 team was fourth with a time of 55.31. Riley Ridge won the High Jump with a height of 1.45 meters. Addison Gray got a personal best in the Long Jump with a jump of 4.26 meters. Katelyn Fletchall got a season best in the Triple Jump with a jump of 8.44 meters. Kara Staton was fifth in the Shot Put with a throw of 9.35 meters. Autumn Cousatte was sixth in the Javelin with a throw of 26.70 meters.

The boys side came down to the last event of the afternoon. Worth County had 79 points, Rock Port had 77, and Stanberry had 71 with the 4x400 coming up. Worth County needed to finish ahead of Rock Port and finish at least fourth so that Stanberry could not mathematically catch them. They succeeded on both counts. Stanberry, which traditionally scores well in the 4x400 and 4x800, won the event with a time of 3:49.31, but Worth County was third with a time of 4:01.32. They finished ahead of Rock Port, which had a time of 4:14.74 to get the win. 

In other boys results, Lucas Frisch won the 110 Hurdles with a time of 18.75. Brayden Combs was sixth with a time of 21.31. Frisch ran into a stiff challenge from Cooper Mooney of King City in the 300 Hurdles. Mooney grabbed the early lead and led most of the way. But despite the stiff south wind, Frisch caught Mooney in the final 100 meters and passed him for the win. He won with a time of 45.01 to Mooney’s 45.91. Brayden Combs was fifth with a time of 49.71.

In the 4x100, Worth County led most of the way and ran their second best time of the year at 46.67 despite the wind. But a bad handoff on the final leg opened the door for Albany and Kyle Emerson caught Worth County at the end as Albany finished first with 46.50 to Worth County’s 46.67. 

With the wind wreaking havoc on most of the high jumpers, Andrew Griffin thrived in the adversity and matched a personal best to win the event with a height of 1.75 meters. 

Landon Moser was fourth in the Long Jump with a personal best of 5.76 meters. Moser won the Triple Jump with a season best 11.78 meters. Bo Collins was second in the Shot Put with a throw of 12.12 meters. He was third in the Discus with a throw of 37.96. 

Tyler New got a personal best in the Javelin with a winning throw of 45.40 meters, 1.7 meters ahead of his previous best. He had trailed Ean Meyer (Platte Valley) all year in the event, but finally moved ahead of him with his effort.

NEN

Baylie Busby tied for third in the High Jump with a height of 1.40 meters. Blair Nelson got a season best in the Long Jump with a jump of 4.08 meters. Severia Hall matched a personal best in the Triple Jump with a jump of 6.50 meters. Hayley Yost had a personal best throw of 21.43 meters in the Discus. She has improved her throw by almost five meters since the start of the year. 

For the boys, Kenneth Schieber thrived in the 800 on a day when so many other athletes struggled with the wind and times were way up. He got a season best and a fifth place finish of 2:30.08. He also finished fourth in the 3200 with a time of 13:11.31. Kyler Scadden was fifth in the Javelin with a throw of 34.50 meters.

North Nodaway

Carlos Rohner got a personal best in the 400 with a time of 1:12.83. Draven Rowland got a season best in the 1600 with a time of 6:43.13. Jeremiah Vinzant was sixth in the 3200 with a time of 14:13.96. Jordan DeLeon was third in the 110 Hurdles with a time of 19.64. He was fourth in the 300 Hurdles with a time of 49.38. 

The Mustangs placed two in the High Jump. Mason Casner matched a personal best from last year and finished third with a height of 1.70 meters. Jordan DeLeon matched a season best with a tie for fifth and a height of 1.65 meters.

North Harrison

Erica Gerken battled the wind and a loaded field and finished fifth in the 100 Hurdles with a time of 18.98. Jaxcynn Hansel got a personal best in the Discus with a throw of 23.04 meters. 

The highlight of the day for North Harrison was Lane Graham winning the Long Jump for the boys. He had a personal best jump of 5.94 meters. 

Junior High Tiger Girls Fifth, Boys Seventh at Stanberry

Worth County’s junior high girls were fifth and the boys seventh at Stanberry Thursday.

For the girls, Rock Port and Stanberry ran away with the meet with 146.5 for Rock Port and 124 for Stanberry. Princeton had 78, Albany 53, Worth County 29, Platte Valley 25, King City 18, North Harrison 10.5, Gallatin 8, and NEN 4.

For the boys, Stanberry had 92, King City 72, Rock Port 68, Princeton 64, Platte Valley 57, Gallatin 43, Worth County 32, NEN 21, North Harrison 18, Pattonsburg 16, and Albany 13.

For the girls, Brooklyn Smith was fourth in the 400 with a personal best time of 1:09.17. Laura Hansen got a personal best as well, with a time of 1:29.93. 

The 4x100 team was fourth with a time of 1:00.20. The 4x200 was fifth with a time of 2:08.92. The 4x400 was fifth with a time of 5:33.82.

Brooklyn Smith matched a personal best in the High Jump with a sixth place finish of 1.30 meters. Megan Tracy was fourth in the Pole Vault with a height of 2 meters. Brooklyn Smith was third in the Long Jump with a jump of 4.13 meters. Gracie Thurman got a personal best with a jump of 3.92. Audrey Runde was fourth in the Triple Jump with a jump of 8.34 meters. Newcomer Khloe Burns got a personal best in the Shot Put and placed fifth with a throw of 9.01 meters. Burns got another personal best in the Discus, where she had a throw of 18 meters.

For the boys, Wyatt Scadden was third in the 100 with a time of 14.09. Xander Bodle got a season best in the 200 with a time of 32.93. Wyatt Scadden was sixth in the 400 with a time of 1:08.43. Liam Cordell was sixth in the 800 with a time of 2:55.66. The Bluejays placed two in the 1600. Gracin Runde was fifth with a time of 6:16.98 and Liam Cordell was sixth with a time of 6:18.75. 

The 4x400 team was fifth with a time of 5:03.27.

Wyatt Scadden improved in the High Jump for the second meet in a row and tied for fourth with a height of 1.52 meters. 

The Bluejays placed two in the Discus. Brady O’Connell got fourth with a personal best 26.04. Jace Burns was sixth with a throw of 24.30.

North Harrison

For the girls, Hali Smith was sixth in the 100 Hurdles with a time of 20.50. She was tied for fifth in the Pole Vault with a height of 1.85 meters. She was second in the Long Jump with a jump of 4.23 meters. 

For the boys, the Shamrocks placed two in the 100. Dalton Guy was fourth with a time of 14.28 and Jensen Davis was sixth with a time of 14.34. Guy was fifth in the 100 Hurdles with a time of 18.76. 

The 4x100 team got a personal best of 56.05 and finished third. The Shamrocks tried their hand at a new event, the 800 Sprint Medley, and finished sixth with a time of 2:14.13. 

Jensen Davis was sixth in the Long Jump with a jump of 4.71 meters. Dalton Guy was sixth in the Triple Jump with a jump of 9.37 meters. Kellan Craig was fifth in the Shot Put with a throw of 9.50. 

Junior High Bluejays Start Off Track Season

Northeast Nodaway’s junior high track squad finally got off the ground Monday, April 8th at Mound City after a series of rainouts and cancellations to start the year.  

For the girls, Rock Port had 155.5, Mid-Buchanan 122, East Atchison 64.5, Mound City 55, St. Gregory’s 50, Platte Valley 26, Buchanan County Middle School 25, South Holt 24, St. Joseph Christian 14, North Andrew 13, Nodaway Valley 12, NEN 9, Stewartsville/Osborn 8, and North Nodaway 1.

For the boys, Mound City won with 87. North Andrew had 85, Rock Port 79, St. Joseph Christian 66, Nodaway Valley 48, East Atchison 40, Buchanan County Middle School 39, Platte Valley 38, Mid-Buchanan 31, St. Gregory’s 31, NEN 15, South Holt 13, Stewartsville/Osborn 10, and North Nodaway 3.

For the girls, Rylee Scadden got a personal best in the 100, breaking the 15 second barrier and finishing seventh with a time of 14.89. The girls got two personal bests in the 200. Piper Gray got a personal best run of 32.60 seconds and Sadie Hall got a personal best with 32.88. Sadie Hall got a personal best in the 100 Hurdles with a time of 21.87.

The 4x100 team of Holly Bennett, Piper Gray, Sadie Hall, and Rylee Scadden was fourth with a time of 1:02.35. The 4x400 team of Piper Gray, Holly Bennett, Sadie Hall, and Rylee Scadden was seventh with a time of 5:38.65.

For the boys, Wyatt Scadden tried his hand at the 400 and was sixth with a time of 1:05.25. The 4x400 team of Gracin Runde, Xander Bodle, Wyatt Scadden, and Liam Cordell was eighth with a time of 4:52.65. Wyatt Scadden got a personal best in the High Jump and broke into the standings, getting an eighth place height of 1.47 meters. Liam Cordell got a personal best in the Long Jump with a jump of 3.93 meters. Jace Burns improved his throw in the Shot put by 1.75 meters, getting a throw of 8.48. Jace Burns improved his throw in the Discus by over 9 meters, getting a second place throw of 28.15. Brady O’Connell, out for track for the first time this year, tried his hand at it and finished with a seventh place throw of 24.40.

North Nodaway

The Mustangs got two personal bests in the 400. Lila Miller got a personal best run of 1:31.59, improving by over four seconds, while Chandra Wyllie got a personal best time of 1:38.08. Zoey Pearson got a personal best in the 1600 with a time of 7:06.76. 

The 4x400 team of Eliza Clements, Zoey Phillips, Zoey Pearson, and Trynzlee Ebrecht took 48 seconds off their time and finished eighth with a time of 5:34.40. 

Zoey Phillips got a personal best in the Long Jump with a jump of 3.16 meters. Eliza Clements got a season best in the Triple Jump with a jump of 7.20 meters. 

For the boys, Jackson Keho was eighth in the 100 with a time of 13.71. Trenton Roberts got a personal best in the 200 with a time of 35.67. Hayden Marriott got a personal best in the 400 with a time of 1:19.57. Draven Rader got a personal best in the 100 Hurdles with a time of 22.86. 

The 4x100 team of Robbie Forney, Owen Coleman, Hayden Marriott, and Jackson Keho was seventh with a time of 1:00.70. The 4x400 team of Reed Martin, Conner Pearson, Draven Rader, and Hudson Alexander improved their time by almost 20 seconds and had a time of 5:16.38. 

The Mustangs got two personal bests in the High Jump. Robbie Forney got a height of 1.42 meters, while Reed Martin improved to 1.32 meters. Hayden Marriott got a personal best in the Long Jump with a jump of 4.46 meters. Owen Coleman got a season best with a jump of 2.78. 

Tiger Boys Win First Meet of Year at King City

Worth County’s boys won their first meet all year, edging out Stanberry while the girls finished fourth.

For the girls, East Atchison had 103, St. Joseph Christian 83, Pattonsburg 76, Worth County 70, Albany 63, Platte Valley 61, Nodaway Valley 60, Gilman City 48, King City 43, DeKalb 34, Stanberry 32, Winston 21, NEN 14, North Andrew 4, Stewartsville/Osborn 3, and Union Star 2.

For the boys, Worth County had 117 and Stanberry 105. Neither team was challenged. Platte Valley and East Atchison had 59, Nodaway Valley 55, Albany 53, Winston 50, North Andrew 36.5, King City 34, North Harrison 30, North Nodaway 24, DeKalb 24, St. Joseph Christian 19, Stewartsville/Osborn 18, NEN 12, Union Star 9.5, Pattonsburg 7, and Gilman City 4.

For the girls, Emma Spencer won the 100 with a season best 13.35, beating out Claire Staley (King City), who had beaten her earlier in the year. Staley had 13.48 and Brooklyn Richardson was third with 13.54. 

Kristen Tracy was seventh in the 100 Hurdles with a time of 20.28 and eighth in the 300 Hurdles with a time of 59 seconds.

The 4x100 team improved for the third time in a row and won with a time of 52.51, edging out King City, who had a time of 52.57. The 4x200 was sixth with a time of 2:02.90. 

Riley Ridge was second in the High Jump with a height of 1.55 meters. Brooklyn Richardson was fifth with a height of 1.45. Eva Engel won the Pole Vault with a height of 3.20 meters. 

Emma Spencer was seventh in the Long Jump with a jump of 4.46 meters. Katelyn Fletchall got a season best in the Triple Jump with a jump of 8.20 meters. 

Kara Staton was fourth in the Shot Put with a throw of 9.30 meters. She was third in the Discus with a throw of 28.93. The Tigers placed two in the Javelin. Autumn Cousatte was seventh with a throw of 27.95. Brooklyn Richardson, who tried it for the first time at Rock Port, got a personal best and placed for the first time, getting eighth with a throw of 27.86.

For the boys, Landon Moser improved his time for the second meet in a row and was rewarded with a move up the ladder, getting a fifth place time of 12.45. Lucas Frisch improved on his time in the 100 Hurdles for the third meet in a row and won with a time of 16.26. Brayden Combs set a personal best for the second meet in a row and was third with a time of 19.38. Lucas Frisch won the 300 Hurdles as well for his second win, getting a time of 43.51. Brayden Combs was fifth with a time of 48.85.

The 4x100 team got a personal best and won with a time of 46.38. The 4x200 was third with a time of 1:46.20. The 4x400 team improved on their time by over three seconds and was second with a time of 3:52.07. 

Andrew Griffin got a personal best in the High Jump and won with a height of 1.75 meters. Brayden Combs matched a personal best in the Pole Vault and was third with a height of 2.90 meters. Wyatt Hill was fifth with a height of 2.60. 

Landon Moser was fourth in the Long Jump with a jump of 5.56 meters. Moser was second in the Triple Jump with a season best 11.77 meters. 

Bo Collins came back for Friday’s meet at King City and got a personal best in the Shot Put with a throw of 12.39 meters, good enough for second place. Ethan Lininger got a personal best for the second meet in a row, placing fifth with a throw of 10.39 meters. Collins was third in the Discus with a throw of 36.69. Tyler New was second in the Javelin with a throw of 41.58 meters. 

NEN

Baylie Busby matched a season best in the High Jump and was fourth with a height of 1.45 meters. Blair Nelson tried her hand at the Triple Jump and was sixth with a jump of 8.83 meters. Dalanie Auffert was sixth in the Shot Put with a throw of 8.38 meters. She was also sixth in the Discus with a throw of 24.35. 

For the boys, Jude Archer was seventh in the 100 with a personal best time of 12.62. He got another personal best in the 400, where he finished eighth with a time of 1:00.28. Kenneth Schieber got a season best in the 800 with a time of 2:41. He was seventh in the 3200 with a time of 13:01.71. 

The Bluejays may have found a new Javelin thrower. Kyler Scadden was fifth in the event with a throw of 36.34 meters. Jude Archer, trying it for the first time, was right behind him with a throw of 36.31. 

North Nodaway

For the boys, Jeremiah Vinzant was eighth in the 3200 with a season best 13:34.03. Jordan DeLeon was fourth in the 100 Hurdles with a time of 19.43 and eighth in the 300 Hurdles with a time of 49.99. 

The 4x200 was seventh with a time of 1:59.20. 

Mason Casner was third in the High Jump with a height of 1.65 meters, a season best. Jordan DeLeon matched a season best and was fourth, also with a height of 1.65 meters. Casner was fifth in the Long Jump with a season best of 5.37 meters. 

North Harrison

For the girls, Jaxcynn Hansel got a season best in the 200 with a time of 32.40. She got a personal best in the Discus with a throw of 22.22 meters. 

For the boys, Kolton Graham got a personal best in the 100 with a time of 13.07. Lane Graham got a personal best in the 200 with a time of 26.58 and was eighth. Landon Johnson took another 2+ seconds off his time in the 400 and finished with a time of 1:06.93. 

The 4x100 team broke the 50 second barrier and finished fourth with a time of 49.43. The 4x200 team was sixth with a time of 1:58.85. 

The Shamrocks were 1-2 in the Long Jump. Wyatt Maize won with a jump of 5.91 meters. Lane Graham was right behind him with a personal best  jump of 5.59. 

Dillon Hartschen was seventh in the Discus with a throw of 28.33 meters. Kolton Graham was eighth in the Javelin with a throw of 32.58 meters.
