Runaway Car Injures Albany Woman in Parking Lot

A runaway car injured an Albany woman in the Dollar General parking lot in Albany Monday afternoon at around 1:40 pm. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that Deanna Hurkman (51) of Albany was attempting to park a 2016 Niss in the Dollar General Parking Lot in Albany when she left the car in reverse as she attempted to exit the vehicle. The vehicle rolled over Hurkman's ankle and across Highway 136 before a witness could enter the vehicle and bring it to a stop. Hurkman received moderate injuries and was taken to Northwest Medical Center in Albany.
