Steve Groven 1963-2025

Steve Groven, age 61, Grant City, Missouri died Monday, February 17, 2025 in Alanthus Grove, Missouri.
 
Steve was born May 19, 1963 in Fort Riley, Kansas.  He was the son of Richard and Loretta (Riley) Groven.
 
Steve was a graduate of Albany High School, Albany, Missouri, Class of 1981.  After high school Steve joined the United States Air Force.
 
On January 10, 1988 he was united in marriage to Lauri Christine Davidson in Albany.
 
Steve was a member of the Crossroads /Assembly of God Church, in Grant City.
Steve was employed as a delivery driver for MFA Oil at the time of his death.
 
Steve was a man of many skills and hobbies.  They ranged from being a mechanic, restoring old cars and tractors, and enjoying hunting and fishing. Steve loved playing and spending time with all his grandchildren.
 
Steve was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Clifford and Elsie Riley and his paternal grandparents Clarence and Frances Groven.
 
His survivors include: Wife, Lauri of the home, son Erik (Katie) Groven, Savannah, Missouri, daughter Sierra Groven (Luke Jensen), Stanberry, Missouri, son Justin Kleider, Kuna, Idaho, grandchildren, Ethan Groven, Evan Groven, Emilee Groven, Paisley Schwebach, Haven Jensen, Marlie Kleider, Father Richard Groven, Rogersville, Missouri, Mother Loretta (Robert) Bright, Rogersville, Missouri, his siblings, Dianna (Lee) Moad, Grant City, Debbie (Jim) Fletchall, Parnell, Missouri, Kathy (Brian) Sherer, Grant City, Mike (Jamie) Frisch, Grant City, Cindy (Rob) Frisch, Sparta, Missouri, Vicki (Stuart) Stevens, Grant City, several half siblings, many nieces and nephews, and a host of other friends and loved ones.
 
Funeral services will be 10:30 AM, Friday, February 21, 2025 at the Crossroads Church (AOG), Grant City.  Family visitation will also be held at the church from 6-8 PM, Thursday, February 20, 2025.  The family has requested casual dress for both occasions.
 
Burial will be in the New Friendship Cemetery, Gentry, Missouri.
