The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a 1992 Chrysler Lebanon driven by a 22 year old male with no insurance was southbound on Route 69 on Friday at around 4:57 pm. A 2004 Ford F-150 driven by a 64 year old man from Bethany was pulling out of a private lot attempting to travel north onto Highway 69. The Patrol says the Chrysler began to skid and crossed into the northbound lane, striking the pickup head-on.
The driver of the Chrysler received moderate injuries. A 27 year old passenger was killed. An 18 year old passenger was seriously injured and was lifeflighted to Truman Medical Center. The driver of the Ford received moderate injuries.
Following the wreck, the complaint from Prosecutor Wulff alleges that Kenzi Doll (27) of Bethany was killed by car accident as a result of the defendant driving without a valid license. Under Missouri law, if convicted, the defendant shall not be eligible for parole until 85% of the sentence is served. The second count alleges the defendant committed the felony of driving without a valid license; the count alleges the defendant was convicted of three charges of No Valid License in Gentry and Harrison Counties during 2023 and 2024. Three other counts allege that Moad committed careless & imprudent driving, had no insurance, and had no plates.
Bond was set at $250,000, cash only.
Charges listed are merely allegations. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
