On January 27th, Shahana Hall (33) of Maryville pleaded guilty in Nodaway County Circuit Court to a charge of Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony). She was placed on five years probation by Judge Corey Herron.
On January 27th, Andrew Lester (34) of Blue Springs pleaded guilty in Nodaway County Associate Circuit Court to a charge of Littering. He was fined $100 by Judge Robert Rice.
On January 27th, Michael Siler (49) of St. Joseph failed to appear in Nodaway County Associate Circuit Court on a probation violation hearing. Judge Corey Herron issued a warrant and bond was set at $2,000, cash or corporate surety. The case had been received on a change of venue from Gentry County.
On January 27th, Stephen Neill (61) of Blue Springs pleaded guilty in Daviess County Circuit Court to charges of DWI (Felony) and No Valid License. A sentencing hearing will be held on April 16th, 2025.
On January 27th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Blaytyn Wilmes (25) of Stanberry alleging Receiving Stolen Property, Displaying Plates Belonging to Another, and No Insurance.
On January 28th, the North Nodaway School reported that scammers pretending to be the school were calling patrons soliciting money and/or financial information for donations.
On January 29th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Nikhil Gazibanda (21) and Harshith Gazibanda (24) of Maryville alleging Assault (Felony). Bond for both was set at $5,000 with defendants given leave to post 10% cash.
On January 29th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Timothy Clement (67) of Skidmore alleging DWI and Failure to Drive on Right Half of Roadway.
On January 29th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Latrisha McMillen (46) of Stanberry alleging Possession of Psylocibin (Felony). Bond was set at $10,000 signature bond. Defendant must submit weekly test results to the court.
On January 29th, Judge Corey Herron withdrew a Nodaway County Circuit Court warrant for Levi Streebin (43) of Maryville.
On January 29th, Judge Corey Herron issued a warrant for Angela Herman (56) of St. Joseph alleging that she failed to abide by a court order. Herman had pleaded guilty in Gentry County Circuit Court to a charge of Driving While Revoked.
On January 29th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that an 85 year old Maryville man driving a 2023 Acura SUV was southbound on Route E at around 3:50 pm when he ran the stop sign at the 136 intersection, striking the driver’s side of a Cadillac driven by a 57 year old Parnell man, killing him. The Cadillac then struck a 2020 Chevy Silverado stopped on Route MM driven by a Ravenwood man. The SUV driver received serious injuries and was taken to Mosaic in St. Joseph. The Ravenwood man received minor injuries and was taken to Mosaic in Maryville.
On January 29th, Harrison County Prosecutor Michael Wulff filed charges against Enos Swartzentruber (24) of Gilman City alleging Careless & Imprudent Driving (Accident) and No Seat Belt.
On January 29th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Ross Rutherford (32) of Maryville in Nodaway County on charges of Child Trafficking (Felony) and Enticement of Child (Felony).
On January 29th, Daviess County Prosecutor Andrea Beth Gibson filed charges against Christopher Owen (46) of Jamesport alleging Felon in Possession of Firearm. Bond was set at $50,000, cash only.
On January 30th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Thomas Gilliland (28) of Pickering alleging Assault (Felony). Bond was set at $50,000 with defendant given leave to post 10% cash. Defendant must wear SCRAM device and have no contact with the victim or witnesses.
On January 30th, Gentry County Prosecutor Jessica Jones filed charges against Chance Midyett (37) of King City alleging DWI, Unlawfully Operating UTV on Highway, and Failure to Place Stopped Vehicle as Near Right Hand Side of Roadway as Practicable.
On January 30th, the Ringgold County Sheriff’s Department arrested John Neely (49) of Des Moines on a Polk County Warrant (Parole Violation).
On January 30th, Daniel Romero-Garcia (25) of Cedar Creek (TX) pleaded guilty in Harrison County Associate Circuit Court to charges of Careless & Imprudent Driving (Accident), No Valid License, and No Seat Belt. He was fined $467.50 plus court costs by Judge Jay Hemenway.
On January 30th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a 2019 Ford Ranger driving by an 81 year old woman from Stanberry attempted to cross Route 71 from the median crossover at the Route U intersection near Arkoe in Nodaway County at around 10:39 am. She was struck by a northbound Chevy Silverado driven by a 45 year old woman from Maryville. The driver of the Silverado received minor injuries and was taken to Mosaic in Maryville.
On January 30th, Gentry County Prosecutor Jessica Jones filed charges against Logan Evans (34) of Stanberry alleging No Valid License (Felony).
On January 31st, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against David Sickman (58) of Skidmore alleging Animal Neglect.
On February 1st, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Moses Woodfin (21) of Kansas City in Nodaway County on charges of DWI, Lane Violation, No Seat Belt, and No Insurance.
On February 1st, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Phillip Tucker (50) of New Hampton in Harrison County on charges of Failure to Signal, Failure to Drive on Right Half of Roadway, and DWI.
On February 1st at around 7:57 pm, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a 41 year old Spickard man was injured when his 2000 Ford F-350 ran off the south side of the roadway on Route 6 two miles west of Gallatin and struck a fence.
On February 2nd, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Irina Younger (65) of Maryville alleging DWI (3rd Offense, Felony) and Driving While Revoked. Bond was denied.
On February 2nd, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a 25 year old Maryville man was injured when a 2017 Dodge Journey ran off the roadway on Route 136 two miles east of Maryville and struck an embankment.
On February 3rd, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Larry Moore (53) of Cosby alleging Violation of Protection Order.
On February 3rd, Jerrod King (47) of Maryville failed to appear in Nodaway County Circuit Court on charges of Assault (Felony), Domestic Assault (Felony), Burglary (Felony), and Property Damage. A warrant was issued and bond was denied.
On February 3rd, Judge Corey Herron reinstated bond for Larry Miller (32) of Skidmore in Nodaway County Circuit Court.
On February 3rd, Mariah Ismael (27) of St. Joseph failed to appear in Nodaway County Circuit Court on charges of Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony) and Resisting Arrest (Felony). A warrant was issued and defendant is to be released on their own recognizance on providing updated address to Probation & Parole and meeting with them immediately after release.
On February 3rd, Daviess County Associate Circuit Judge Micha Lea Dixon issued a warrant for Randy Carlisle (40) of Cainsville following receipt of a bond violation report. Bond was denied. The defendant is facing charges of Sex Offender Present in Unlawful Location and Possession of Controlled Substance.
On February 3rd, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a Steamboat Rock (IA) man was injured when his semi-truck crashed on I-35 three miles south of Eagleville after it struck several potholes in the driving lane in the northbound road. The truck crossed the median, traveled across both southbound lanes, and struck an embankment.
On February 3rd, Daviess County Prosecutor Andrea Beth Gibson filed charges against Kirby Bass (41) of Spickard alleging DWI (4th Offense, Felony) and Careless & Imprudent Driving (Accident). Bond was denied.
On February 4th, Governor Mike Kehoe ordered all US and Missouri flags at firehouses statewide to be flown at half mast in memory of Christopher Clevenger, a firefighter in the West Central Missouri Fire Protection District of Saline and Pettis Counties. He died of a medical emergency on January 26th, 2025 while responding to an emergency call. He had been a firefighter for 15 years and was 33 years old when he passed away.
Charges listed are merely allegations. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty it is to determine guilt or innocence. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
