Raegan Hogan broke up Putnam County pitcher Rory Gilworth’s no-hit bid to start the seventh Thursday, getting a triple to center field to start the inning. Ava Rinehart beat out an infield single to get her home to break up the shutout bid.
The rest of the game belonged to Gilworth and the Midgets; she struck out 16 Shamrocks that night. The Midgets took advantage of five Shamrock errors and scored one in the first, one in the second, five in the third, and two in the fifth to get the 9-1 win.
