Jason Lars Jennings, 44 of Mt. Moriah, MO, was welcomed into His Heavenly Father’s arms on Friday, October 3rd, 2025. While our hearts mourn here on Earth, we rejoice in knowing that he is in Heaven and reunited with cherished loved ones. We hold close to the legacy that he leaves behind: a life that taught us the meaning of unconditional love and unwavering strength. We will remember always his smile, his laugh, the side eye he could give you and twinkle in his eyes.
Jason was born on November 10th, 1980 to James and Winona (Fish) Jennings in Albany, MO. Jason attended school at South Harrison. He loved horses, puppies and watching Westerns. Jason loved to be around his family, especially little children.
Jason is survived by his mother, Winona Parkhurst; stepfather, Steven Parkhurst; brother, Jarred (Rachel) Jennings; nephew, Luke Jennings and niece, Harper Jennings; step-grandfather, Marvin Parkhurst; step-brother, Lyle (Stacey) Potter and their children, Danelle (Justin) Black and Kyle (Gracie) Potter, and Amy Potter (Gus); step-brother, Garry (Jennifer) Potter and their children, Ethan (Taylor) Potter, Chase (Sadie) Potter, Reese Potter and Nora Potter; step-sister, Tiffany Parkhurst and sons, Quentin and Griffin; step-brother, Justin Parkhurst and children, Memphis and Harley; step-brother, Aaron Parkhurst and sons, Kale and Kane.
Jason was loved dearly by his many aunts and uncles, Charlotte Baker (Jan Long), Doug and Cindy Fish, Chuck and Denise Jennings, Larry and Rose Hunt, Ellen Jennings, Marcene Sharp and Joyce Jensen and his cousins, Christina (Chad) Hammond, Josh Baker, Jaclyn (Brian) Smail, Rebecca Fish, Elizabeth (Daryl) Betts, Andrew Fish, Jonathan (Lindsey) Fish, Tray (Selina) Fish, Garrett Fish-Bell, Karen (Adam) Grimes, Jo (Nicole) Wise, Daniel (Megan) Wise and Bill Jennings. As a little boy, Jason enjoyed eating ice cream and riding horses with his cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Jennings; his maternal grandparents, Truman and Madeline Fish; paternal grandparents, James and Mary Jo Jennings; step-grandmother, Neva Parkhurst; aunt, Janelda Fish and step-uncle, David Sharp.
Jason was blessed to have many people who lovingly cared for him during his life, Elsie and Audrey Russell, great-grandmother, Clara Fish, Ellen Jennings, Rose Hunt, Rosalie Wright, Jeana Kampman, Grandpa Marvin, Tonya Williams, Helen Miles, Cheryl Moreland, and Tanya Bartlett. HCCH Home Health provided care for Jason. Throughout the years, he had numerous health care aides, but the following were like beloved family to Jason, Chari Wendt, Tara Sherer, Sabrina Ellis, Tonya Williams and Jeana Kampman.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 6, 2025 at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery, Bethany, MO. There is no scheduled family visitation. Memorials may be made to Oakland Cemetery and/or Harrison County Hospice in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O. box 46, Bethany, MO 64424.
