Area Courthouse, Police, and Crime Reports for October 8th, 2025

On September 30th, Daviess County Prosecutor Andrea Beth Gibson filed charges against Anthony Garn (40) of Petoskey (MI) alleging Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony), Driving While Revoked (Felony), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Speeding (101 mph). Bond was denied.

On September 30th, Judge Jay Hemenway issued a warrant for the arrest of Sean Sweat (30) of Bethany following receipt of a probation violation report. Bond was set at $15,000, cash only. The defendant had been on probation on a charge of Receiving Stolen Property.

On October 1st, Daviess County Prosecutor Andrea Beth Gibson filed charges against Stephen Evans (29) of Winston alleging Child Endangerment. Bond was set at $10,000, cash only. Defendant may have no contact with anyone under 18 and no contact with co-defendant.

On October 1st, Daviess County Prosecutor Andrea Beth Gibson filed charges against Jacob Miller (35) of Gallatin alleging Failure to Register as Sex Offender (Felony). Bond was denied.

On October 1st, Billy Jack Hurn (44) of Lathrop failed to appear in Harrison County Associate Circuit Court on charges of Speeding (26+ mph over), Failure to Register, Failure to Stop, Failure to Signal, No Insurance, and No Seat Belt. A warrant was issued and bond set at $1,500, cash only.

On October 1st, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a Freightliner had a tire blowout on I-35 four miles north of Eagleville, ran off the southbound lane, went off the northbound lane, and overturned. The driver received minor injuries.

On October 1st, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a 2022 Nissan Altima was stopped in traffic at a stop sign at 190th Road and Lyon Avenue in Worth County. A 2018 Ford Edge attempted to make a left turn to travel east bound on 190th Road and struck the Nissan. An 11 year-old boy in the Edge received minor injuries.

On October 2nd, Daviess County Prosecutor Andrea Beth Gibson filed charges against Shannon Shore (49) of Converse (TX) alleging DWI, Resisting Arrest, and Attempted Escape from Confinement (Felony). Bond was denied.

On October 2nd, at around 1:45 am, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a vehicle struck a deer on 136 two miles west of Stanberry. Two people were seriously injured.

On October 3rd, Harrison County Prosecutor Michael Wulff filed charges against Delisa Ely (41) of Bethany alleging Leaving the Scene (Felony), No Insurance, and Defective Brakes.

On October 4th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Richard Ulmer (65) of Maryville alleging Domestic Assault (Felony). Bond was denied.

On October 5th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that an 11 year old Blythedale boy was seriously injured when his dirt bike struck a ditch in a pasture one mile south of Blythedale, ejecting him from the bike.

On October 6th, Gentry County Prosecutor Jessica Jones filed charges against Bradley Burton (40) of Gentry alleging two counts Driving While Revoked (Felony).

On October 6th, Ben Marion (52) of Kansas City surrendered his probation and was sentenced to four years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony). Court retains jurisdiction and the DOC will make recommendations regarding incarceration or probation. If defendant is released on probation, he must apply to the 4th Circuit Alternative program on release.

On October 6th, Judge Robert Rice issued an arrest warrant for Darrell Germann (41) of Conception Junction after the defendant failed to appear in Nodaway County Associate Circuit Court on a charge of Non-Support (Felony). A bond forfeiture hearing was set for November 3rd at 1:30 pm.

On October 6th, Joshua Craig (36) of Jamesport pleaded guilty in Daviess County Circuit Court to Unlawful Use of a Weapon (Felony) and Assault. He was placed on five years probation by Judge Ryan Horsman.

On October 6th, Judge Ryan Horman recalled Anthony Logston (35) of Hamilton from the Missouri Department of Corrections in Daviess County Circuit Court and placed him on five years probation on charges of Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Felony) and Domestic Assault (Felony).

On October 6th, Harrison County Prosecutor Michael Wulff filed charges against Larry Anthony (61) of Albany alleging Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (Felony) and Possession of Prohibited Item at Jail. Bond was denied.

Charges listed are merely allegations. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty it is to determine guilt or innocence. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
