North Nodaway’s girls' volleyball team honored its coach, Jody Newman, before the varsity game with Union Star Tuesday night, October 7th. She continued to coach the girls even as she was battling breast cancer. People wore pink shirts, and the players wore pink warmups.

The game was tied at 8, 9, 10, and 11 before the serving of Arianna Owens allowed them to gain separation.
