Beverly June Cadle, 90, of Grant City, MO passed away Friday, December 4, 2020 at Orilla’s Way Care Center in Grant City.
Beverly was born June 7, 1930, the sixth of 8 children born to BJ and Hazel (Killingsworth) Ray. At an early age she accepted Christ as her Savior and was baptized at the Christian Church in Grant City. She attended school in Grant City and graduated in the Grant City High School class of 1948.
On November 18, 1951 she was united in marriage to Billy Cadle and to that union 3 children were born: Mark, Cynthia and Pat. As her children were growing up she served as a 4-H leader, a Sunday school teacher and was very involved with federated women’s clubs. As her children became older she worked for Attorney Richard Lee and later Meyer and Riggs in Albany, MO
Beverly’s happiest times were when she was surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren, who affectionately called her “Boogie”. All of them have wonderful “Boogie” memories that they will cherish for their lifetimes.
Beverly’s faith in God was evident to all who knew her and it showed in her life on a daily basis. Her involvement in church activities remained strong until her health made it difficult for her to attend and participate but even then she was always there to encourage and support others. She especially enjoyed Friday morning Bible study with Alice and the other ladies.
Beverly was preceded in death by Bill, her husband of 61 years, in 2013, her parents, brothers BJ Ray Jr., William Ray, Franklin Ray and James Ray and sisters Virginia Cole, Doris Maxwell, and Helen Kump.
Her survivors include her 3 children: Mark (Suzanne) Cadle of Grant City, MO, Cynthia (Dudley) Kaiser of Boonville, MO and William “Pat” (Amanda) Cadle of Neodesha, KS. 10 grandchildren: Allison (Cory) Schweizer, Phillip (Toni) Gillespie, Charles “Chris” (Ashley) Cadle, Ryan (Kayla) Gillespie, Miranda (Trevor) Bruening, Rebecca Townlain, Matthew Cadle, Mackenzie Cadle, Kylie Johnson, Jackson Cadle and 14 great-children, Cole and Cooper Schweizer, Addison, Aurora and Alivia Cadle, Bella Foster, Cora Gillespie, Gus Thornton, Reece, Blair, Rhett and Rowan Townlain, and Raydon and Taylie Bruening, sisters-in-law: Claudia Scott, Mary Ray, Zelpha Ray and Sarah Ray, many nieces and nephews, her church family and many friends.
Memorials may be made to the Grant City Christian Church in care of the Prugh-Dunfee Funeral Home, Grant City, MO.
Services will be held at the Grant City Christian Church at 1:00 pm on Friday December 11, 2020 with interment following at the Grant City Cemetery. No formal visitation will be held but open visitation is available during normal business hours at the funeral home.
