Betty Jean (Sams) Coulson, 93, Eagleville, MO departed this life Monday, December 7, 2020 at a Bethany, MO nursing home.
She was born on November 4, 1927 in Decatur County, Iowa northeast of Lamoni the daughter of William and Corene Sams.
On January 2, 1942, she married Garland Coulson and they made their home northeast of Hatfield, MO. Their home was blessed by a son, Roger Lee.
Betty was a member of Blythedale Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland in 1993; son, Roger in 2007; her parents; four brothers, Roy, Thomas, Raymond, and Clarence; two sisters, Ruth Price and Lillian Townsly, and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law.
Those left to mourn her passing are grandsons, James Coulson and wife, Carrie, Bethany, MO and Jeff Coulson and wife, Kristin, Jefferson City, MO; great granddaughters, Shelby, Lydia, and Kara; great-great grandson, Lennox and great-great granddaughter, Lyric; daughter-in-law, Carol Coulson, Bethany, MO; sister, Shirley (Gary) Prall, Lamoni, IA; several nieces and nephews and special family the Dean Wilson family.
Graveside Services and Burial were held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 12 in Payne Cemetery, Hatfield, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Eagleville, MO. There is no scheduled family visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Payne Cemetery in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 46, Eagleville, MO 64442.
