Jeremiah Searles Pleads Guilty to Killing Melissa Chapman

On Thursday, Jeremiah Searles, Denver Missouri, plead guilty to killing Melissa Chapman. Mr. Searles admitted he struck Miss Chapman in the head with part of a cinder block causing her death.

Mr. Searles was sentenced to 30 years in the Department of Corrections on a Class A Felony of Murder in the Second Degree.

Ms. Kimberly Henry-Tinkle has now been charged with 2 Class E Felonies of Hindering Prosecution, a Class E Felony of Abandonment of a Corpse without Notifying Authorities and 1 Class E Felony of Tampering with Physical Evidence in regards to Ms. Chapman’s murder.

Charges are only accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until the defendant is either found guilty or has pleaded guilty.
