Rosene Cook, age 94, a longtime resident of Grant City, MO died on Sunday, January 5th, 2020, at Brookdale Senior Living Center in Overland Park, Kansas where she had been a resident.
Rosene was born in Harrison County on February 26, 1925. She met Keith Cook after he returned home from the war through a mutual friend. They were married on April 9th, 1945 and welcomed their son Rod on April 23, 1946.
Rosene was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star. She worked at the former Grant City Manufacturing company for many years where she sewed ball caps. After she retired, she enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, traveling and spending time with her granddaughter Bryanna.
Rosene had an amazing heart and cared deeply for her family and friends.
Rosene is proceeded in death by her parents John and Mary Allen, her sister Thelma Morris, and her husband Keith C. Cook.
Her survivors include, son Rod Cook, Brother Bobbie Allen (Ruthie Allen), Granddaughter Bryanna Jackson (Ryan Jackson), Great-grandchildren Logan Davis, Blake Davis, Grayson Jackson and her many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services were held 10 AM, Thursday, January 9, 2020 at the Andrews-Hann Funeral Home in Grant City. Burial was in the Grant City Cemetery, Grant City. Memorial: Grant City Cemetery c/o Rebecca Summers, 30644 170th Road, Grant City, MO 64456.
