Illinois Teen Injured Near Eagleville on Ice Covered Roadway

A Round Lake (IL) teen was injured in a wreck on an ice-covered roadway near Eagleville Saturday. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 2010 Ford F-150 driven by Bernardo Gomez (43) of Round Lake (IL) was northbound on I-35 at the 105 mile marker south of Eagleville at around 6:30 pm. The vehicle lost control on the ice-covered roadway, ran off the left side, and overturned, coming to rest on the driver’s side, blocking the southbound passing lane of I-35. Gomez was not injured in the wreck, A passenger, a 16 year old female who was his daughter, received moderate injuries and was taken to Harrison County Community Hospital. She was also wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
