Maryville Man Injured on Snow Covered Roads

A Maryville man was injured on snow-covered roads Saturday between Maryville and Pickering. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 1995 Chevy Sierra driven by Kelton Emery (21) of Maryville was northbound on Route 148 just north of Route CC between Maryville and Pickering at around 10:35 am. The vehicle began to slide on the ice-covered roadway, traveled off the west side, and struck an embankment. The vehicle overturned twice, coming to rest on its passenger side facing west. Emery received moderate injuries and was taken to Mosaic in St. Joseph. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
