Northeast Nodaway's boys trailed DeKalb 22-12 at the half, but chipped away at the Tiger lead despite the noisy gym, getting their deficit down to 28-23 after three. They continued to chip away until finally getting it tied late in the fourth at 32-32. They finally scored, got the ball back, and scored again in the last 30 seconds to get the 36-32 win.
Ben Boswell had 14 for the Bluejays. Mitchell Sherry had 10, and Auston Pride had 5 to lead the Bluejays. They overcame 9 for 18 free throw shooting to get the win. Mitchell Sherry had three 3-pointers for NEN.
The girls lost 67-10 as they were outscored in every quarter in the loss.
