Grant City Enters Design Agreement to Start Wastewater Construction

The City of Grant City entered into a design agreement with Snyder & Associates to start construction on the $2 million+ wastewater project. The USDA will be dropping the $2 million of their share of funds into Great Western.

The city has three new houses ready to demolish. Two are on Pleasant Street and one is on High Street. Another house near the former Highway Grocery building is another possible candidate.
Phase 2 of the Brownfield on the new Mission Possible site has begun.

The Helicopter Pad, which will be used to life flight people out of Grant City, is getting material laid.
Four building permits were discussed. The permit from the Grant City Christian Church was not approved. It will be taken up at the next regular meeting. The council approved building permits from Randy & Joni James (deck) and Mark & Jeannie Fletcher (pole shed). The council will approve one for Zeb Harker at the next meeting with signatures from neighbors.

Signs and chairs from the pool will be placed in storage. The PVC pipe at the Pool Park will need to be replaced. The city talked about putting a new basketball court at the Pool Park. Since it is a federal park, it will need approval from the Department of Conservation.

The city is in the process of getting bids to replace the two computers at City Hall, since the Windows Software upgrade is not compatible with the current ones.
