Graceland Shows Improvement But Falls to William Penn

Graceland showed improvement Saturday at William Penn as they led the Statesmen 24-20 at the half, but then gave up 33 unanswered points in the second half to fall 53-24. The goal now is to put together four quarters of football together.

Tevin Cameron had 9 tackles in the loss. He now has 75 tackles for the year, or over 10 per game. He is ranked 9th in the country among all positions.

Graceland fell behind early 7-0, but then put together a 12 play 75 yard drive capped off by a 13 yard pass from Antoine Williams II to Donte Sylencieux for 13 yards to knot it up. Graceland fell behind again 14-7, only for the Jackets to tie it up again on Williams’ 5 yard strike to Caleb Thomas.

William Penn answered right back to go up 20-14, but missed the extra point and Thomas ran back the ensuing kickoff to put his team up 21-20. Christopher Morris added a field goal as time expired at half to give Graceland the 24-20 lead. Unfortunately, there are four quarters in football.
