Two teens were injured in a wreck six miles west of Gilman City Friday afternoon at around 1:32 pm. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 2001 Nissan Sentra driven by Whitney Wooden (17) of Gilman City was westbound on Route H when it traveled off the north side of the roadway. The driver overcorrected, causing the vehicle to travel over the westbound land and cross the center line. The vehicle traveled off the north side of Route H again, struck an embankment, and overturned. The vehicle came to rest on its passenger side facing southeast.
Wooden received minor injuries and was taken to Harrison County Hospital. A passenger, Chloe Wooden (15) of Gilman City, received minor injuries and was taken to Harrison County Hospital. Both were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident. The vehicle was totaled.
