Shamrock Boys Run Away from Gilman City

North Harrison’s boys ran away from Gilman City Thursday as they picked up a 73-42 win over the Hawks in an HDC matchup. The Shamrocks outscored Gilman City in every quarter as they jumped out to a 19-12 lead after one quarter. They raised it to 42-26 at the half and then continued to pull away in the third and fourth quarters. The two teams, which play football together with Pattonsburg, had played four epic games last year, with the Shamrocks and Hawks splitting two each. But Gilman City was decimated by graduation this year.

Logan Craig had 27 points to lead the Shamrocks. Brett Emig had 23, Steven Willhite 17, and Grant Claycomb and Collin Briggs had 3 each. As a team, North Harrison shot 41% from the field and attempted nine more shots from the field. Gilman City shot 33%.

The Shamrocks rained down nine 3-pointers for the night. Steven Willhite had 5, while Collin Briggs, Brett Emig, Logan Craig, and Grant Claycomb all had 1.

Logan Craig had 14 boards for North Harrison. Steven Willhite had 10, Brett Emig 4, Gavin Garrett, Collin Briggs, and Grant Claycomb had 3, Logan Huitt 2, and Hunter Parkhurst, Wade Briggs, and Brandon Hamilton had 1.

Brett Emig had 8 assists for the Shamrocks. Grant Claycomb and Logan Huitt had 4 each, Logan Craig and Steven Willhite had 2 each, and Wade Briggs and Collin Briggs each had 1.

Logan Huitt and Brett Emig had 5 steals each. Logan Craig and Steven Willhite had 4 each, while Grant Claycomb and Wade Briggs had 1 each.

Steven Willhite had 3 blocks, while Brett Emig had 1.

Logan Huitt had 4 tips on defense, as did Steven Willhite. Logan Craig, Gavin Garrett, and Brett Emig had 3, Grant Claycomb had 2, while Wade Briggs and Cruz Ury had 1.
