Courthouse News for January 30th, 2019

On January 17th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Marquise Williams (30) of Wichita Falls (TX) alleging No Valid License.

On January 18, the Ringgold County Sheriff’s Department reports Chaz Bounds of Delphos, IA was traveling west bound on highway 2 and Grant ST in Mount Ayr. Bounds lost control of his vehicle due to a snow-covered road. Bounds entered the south ditch of highway 2 causing his vehicle to roll and come to rest on its top. Bounds was transported to the Ringgold County Hospital.

On January 21st, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Skylar Wood (18) of Liberty (MO) on charges of Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and No Seat Belt.

Brad Larson, 31, of Bedford was arrested on January 21, 2019 on Madison Ave in Bedford by the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office. Larson was arrested on a warrant for Violation of a No-Contact Order after an incident in New Market on January 18, 2019 and is being held at the Taylor County Jail on $1,000 bond.

On January 21st, the case of Melinda Coleman (58) of Albany, who faces two counts Forgery (Felony) and two counts Commission of a Fraudulent Insurance Act (Felony) was transferred from Gentry County to Worth County on a Change of Venue.

On January 21st, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Alan Bender (28) of Maryville alleging Driving While Revoked (2nd or 3rd Offense).

On January 22nd, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Eric Crabbe (30) of Milwaukee (WI) alleging two counts Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony). A warrant was issued, and bond was set at $15,000 cash or surety.

On January 22, 2019, at approximately 5:00 a.m. Taylor County Sheriff's Office received a report of a semi that had overturned on The Lake Road at the intersection of 200th Street. Eugene Authier, 57, of Indianola, Iowa, was traveling northbound in his 1994 Peterbuilt Semi-Tractor owned and operated by Longshot Trucking. Due to icy conditions Authier failed to negotiate the turn and left the roadway. The impact with the ditch caused the Semi to overturn. Authier was uninjured and refused treatment at the scene. The Lake Road was detoured for approximately six hours so the semi could safely be removed.

On January 22nd, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Dylan Lock (20) of Maryville alleging Unlawful Possession, Transport, Manufacture, Repair, or Sale of Illegal Weapon.
On January 23rd, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Jeff Shelby (52) of Bethany alleging two counts Delivery of Controlled Substance.

On January 23rd, Gentry County Prosecutor Jessica Jones filed charges against Terry Harris (36) of Stanberry alleging No Valid Plates, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On January 24th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Quamine Butler (21) of Lamoni alleging two counts 3rd Degree Assault (Felony), Domestic Assault (Felony), and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

On January 24th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against David Lewis (48) of Elmo alleging Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Felony). Bond was set at $20,000, cash or corporate surety.

On January 24th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Jennifer Munoz (36) of Maryville alleging Driving While Revoked.

On January 24th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Kodi Heflin (25) of Maryville alleging No Insurance.

On January 24th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Derrick Garnett (30) of Maryville in Nodaway County on charges of DWI and Careless & Imprudent Driving (Accident).

On January 25th, Gentry County Prosecutor Jessica Jones filed charges against Paul Roberton (39) of St. Joseph alleging two counts Stealing (Felony) and Driving While Revoked (Felony).

On January 25th, Gentry County Prosecutor Jessica Jones filed charges against Alicia Buzzard (35) of St. Joseph alleging two counts Stealing (Felony) and one count Tampering with a Motor Vehicle. Bond was set at $10,000 cash or corporate surety.

On January 25th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against William Herbst (26) of Tarkio alleging Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Failure to Dim Headlights.

On January 25th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Lawrence Davison (65) of Burlington Junction alleging 1st Degree Assault (Felony), 2nd Agree Assault (Special Victim, Felony), and Abuse of an Elderly, Disabled, or Vulnerable Person.

On January 26th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Jesse Fletchall (38) of Grant City in Gentry County alleging DWI (Felony, Persistent) and Careless  & Imprudent Driving (Accident). On January 28th, Gentry County Prosecutor Jessica Jones filed charges. Bond was set at $4,950, cash only.

On January 28th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Cheryl Fluno (39) of Bethany alleging Possession of a Controlled Substance (Felony).

On January 28th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Jeana Anderson (49) of Kearney alleging No Insurance.

On January 28th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Michael Vyzourek (26) of Colorado Springs (CO) alleging No Valid License.

On January 28th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Joey McClintock (23) of Eagleville alleging No Valid License.

On January 28th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Jesus Carbajal (22) of Iowa City (IA) alleging No Valid License.

On January 28th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against James Williams (24) of St. Louis alleging Trespass (1st Degree).

On January 28th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Melandy Myer (23) of Maryville alleging Trespass (1st Degree).

On January 28th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against DeSean Robinson (23) of Maryville alleging Driving While Revoked (2nd or 3rd Offense).

On January 28th, Dan Findley (70) of Independence (MO) pleaded guilty in Worth County Associate Circuit Court to Trespassing. He was assessed $426.50 in fines and costs.

On January 28th, Maria Fairchild pleaded guilty to No Insurance and No Plates in Worth County Associate Circuit Court. She was assessed $261 in fines and costs.

On January 28th, Thomas Rathmann pleaded not guilty in Worth County Associate Circuit Court to charges of Driving While Revoked, Failure to Secure Child, No Insurance, and No Seat Belt.

On January 28th, Abbey Morin pleaded guilty in Worth County Associate Circuit Court to charges of No Valid License and Failure to Secure Child. She was assessed $123.50 in fines and costs.

On January 28th, Worth County Prosecutor Janet Wake Larison dismissed charges of 2nd Degree Burglary and Property Damage against Dillon Hastings in open court.

Charges listed are mere allegations. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty it is to determine guilt or innocence. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
