Shamrock Girls Score Season High, Beat Gilman City

North Harrison’s girls, which had been finding points hard to come by this year, finally scored a season high with 49 and beat Gilman City 49-10 Thursday in an HDC matchup. They finally seemed to find a formula – Emma Craig got her point total, and then several others chipped in 4-6 points.

Gilman City was overmatched, with only five players, three of them freshmen and two of them sophomores. North Harrison led 11-4 after one quarter and pulled away to a 23-8 lead at the half. They continued to pull away for the rest of the game.

Emma Craig had 20 points for the Shamrocks. Addie Slaughter had 6, Olivia Babinski, Ashlynn Gilpatrick, and Camden Castleberry had 5, and Kami Gibson and Sally Briggs had 4. North Harrison shot 39% from the field and held Gilman City to 13%.

North Harrison killed Gilman City on the boards, getting 35 to only 13 for the Hawks. Emma Craig had 10, Addie Slaughter 6, Ashlynn Gilpatrick and Camden Castleberry 4 each, Kami Gibson 3, Rainey Fordyce, Sally Briggs, and Mason Cracraft 2, and Deva Wallace and Baily Briggs 1.

Mason Cracraft and Emma Craig had 3 assists. Kami Gibson had 2, while Rainey Fordyce, Olivia Babinski,and Addie Slaughter had 1.

Rainey Fordyce had 2 steals, while Kami Gibson, Deva Wallace, Emma Craig, Baily Briggs, Ashlynn Gilpatrick, and Addie Slaughter had 1.

Camden Castleberry, Kami Gibson, Emma Craig, and Olivia Babinski all had 1 block.
