Logan Craig had 28 points and Brett Emig had a career night with 27 as North Harrison ran away from Grundy County 79-41 Friday in Galt. North Harrison had dropped a 72-67 decision to a perennially solid South Holt team in Holiday Hoops over the break, but came out ready to play Friday, racing out to a 24-9 first quarter lead. They scored 29 in the second and 21 in the third to pull away to a running clock margin.
Besides Craig and Emig, Gavin Garrett had a career night with 9 points. Steven Willhite and Grant Claycomb had 5, Collin Briggs 3, and Logan Huitt 2. The Shamrocks shot 57% from the field. Grant Claycomb, Steven Willhite, Brett Emig, and Collin Briggs all had one three-pointer.
Logan Craig was able to get to the line at will, making 10 out of his 13 free throws. As a team, North Harrison was 15 for 23 from the line.
Craig also had 12 boards, to complete a double double. Brett Emig had 8, Logan Huitt and Steven Willhite 4, Cruz Ury and Collin Briggs 2, and Wade Briggs and Tyler Lundy 1.
Brett Emig had 8 assists for the Shamrocks. Logan Huitt had 7, Logan Craig 4, and Wade Briggs, Steven Willhite, and Tyler Lundy each with 1. Logan Craig had 4 steals, while Gavin Garrett and Brett Emig had 2 each. Logan Huitt, Hunter Parkhurst, and Steven Willhite each had 1.
Steven Willhite had 1 block for the Shamrocks.
Brett Emig had 3 tips for North Harrison along with Collin Briggs. Grant Claycomb and Logan Craig had 2, while Logan Huitt, Wade Briggs, Steven Willhite, and Cruz Ury had 1. Logan Huitt, Grant Claycomb, and Logan Craig each took charges on defense.
