Shamrock Boys Drop Wild Game Against Knights

North Harrison dropped a wild 72-67 loss to South Holt, a perennially solid team, at Holiday Hoops on December 27th. They only shot 38% from the field, but they were able to stay in the game until the end. South Holt gradually built up a seven point lead after three quarters; both teams tried to run each other out of the gym in the fourth, but South Holt came away with the victory.

Steven Willhite had 21 points to lead the Shamrocks. Logan Craig and Brett Emig had 18 each, Gavin Garrett had 4, and Logan Huitt, Grant Claycomb, and Collin Briggs had 2 each. Steven Willhite had five threes for North Harrison. The Shamrocks were 12 for 16 from the line.

Steven Willhite did all he could to keep his squad in the game, getting 17 boards. As a team, the Shamrocks had 47 boards, which kept them in the game despite their cold shooting. Brett Emig had 9, Logan Craig 8, Collin Briggs 5, Gavin Garrett 3, Logan Huitt and Grant Claycomb 2, and Wade Briggs 1.

Brett Emig had 11 assists for North Harrison. Logan Huitt had 3, Collin Briggs 2, and Grant Claycomb and Logan Craig 1.

Steven Willhite had 2 steals and Gavin Garrett 1.

Steven Willhite and Brett Emig had 1 block each. Logan Craig had 4 tips for North Harrison. Steven Willhite had 2, while Gavin Garrett and Brett Emig had 1. Grant Claycomb took a charge on defense.
