Alice Gertrude Tibbetts, 102, Maryville, MO died Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Parkdale Manor.
She was born February 7, 1915 in Taylor County, IA to Willard H. Smith and Julia Mary (Townsend) Smith.
Alice graduated from Hopkins High School and was married September 19, 1934 in Hopkins to Charles Barton Tibbetts. Alice was a homemaker and a member of Laura Street Baptist Church.
Preceding Alice in death were her parents, husband, three daughters, Betty Emery, Helen Beck, and Janet Olney, son, Beryl Tibbetts, grandson Timothy Judd, and granddaughter, Virginia Billings; great-grandson, Bryan Allen, three brothers, Kirk, Carl, and Galen Smith, three sisters, Ruby Smith, Lucille Smith, and Helen Spencer.
Surviving Alice are her four sons, Robert (Marilyn) Tibbetts, Grant City, MO, Marvin Tibbetts, Sedalia, MO, Charles Wayne (Norma) Tibbetts, Independence, MO and Steve (Edna) Tibbetts, San Diego, CA; daughter, Shirley Judd, Spokane, MO, 24 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Iva Ruth (Smith) Sanders, Olive (Smith) Wyckoff and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was 9:30-11:00 AM Saturday, February 3, 2018, Price Funeral Home, Maryville.
Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, following the visitation, with burial following at Hopkins MO Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Laura Street Baptist Church.
